Adding Anti‐Tank functionality to your weapon system.

This guide will show you how to add anti-tank functionality into Spearhead R6 or Advanced Combat System. For now, the instructions only apply to SPH, but if you have some scripting skills you should be able to do the same for ACS.

Spearhead R6

  • Step 1: Download SPH_R15 and open the "SPH_Server" script
  • Step 2: Using Control+F, Search for "SPH_R15: Dragoon Tank System Compat" in this script
  • Step 3: Select the entire blocks of code, that start with "-- SPH_R15:" and end with "</SPH_R15>". Include these lines too.
  • Step 4: Copy and paste the code blocks from this script into the "SPH_Server" script in your own installation. You should have copied 2 blocks of code.
  • Step 5: Now, find the "PierceMod" module in SPH_R15.
  • Step 6: Copy the line that ends with "SPH_R15: Dragoon Tank System Compat"
  • Step 7: Paste it in your own installation's PierceMod module.
  • Step 8: Add the following gun settings to your desired antitank weapon:
-- SPH_R15: Dragoon Tank System Compat
wepStats.ATCanDamage = true
wepStats.ATDefaultDamage = {500, 500}
wepStats.ATDefaultPen = {250, 250}
-- </SPH_R15>

If you've followed the steps correctly, your Spearhead installation should now be able to damage DTS vehicles.

Advanced Combat System

FOR ADVANCED USERS ONLY Copy pasting the same blocks of code as in step 1 will not work out of the box, and you will have to find where to place these blocks of code yourself. You will also have to find the code for hit detection and add the check to collide with Armor parts. We will soon have a proper, step by step tutorial for users with no technical experience.
