Bug: Slow alert and chip being falsely triggered by the fading of Selo's Accelerando #116

Fixed — coming in the next update. Textbook report, thank you: the two log lines with timestamps made the cause instantly checkable. You found a genuine ambiguity in the game's own text: "You slow down." is both the landing line of a family of real slows (Languid Pace, the Deeds line) and — as your log shows — how Selo's Accelerando wears off after you stop twisting it (about 11 seconds after the "You forget" line, in your capture). The catalogs had claimed it for the slows, so every bard dropping Selo's got a 🐌. The fix keeps both truths: EQBuddy now reads the "You forget ." line, and a "You slow down." within 45 seconds of forgetting a Selo's haste is treated as the haste ending — no chip, no voice. Without a recent forget, the line still alerts as the slow it also is. Honest tradeoff, stated up front: if a real Deeds-line slow lands on you within those 45 seconds of dropping Selo's, that one landing goes unannounced (the next pulse or re-land alerts normally). We took the silent-miss over the false alarm — a bard hears the false version every time they stop singing, and you did. |

Now live in v1.72.0: Selo's fading no longer fakes a slow alert - EQBuddy reads the "You forget..." line to tell the two apart. The one honest tradeoff from the earlier reply stands. Thanks again Fennec-Halas. |

Follow-up for anyone who plays GROUPED with a bard rather than being one: the v1.72.0 fix keyed on the "You forget..." line, which only the bard's own log carries - so a groupmate still got false slow alerts every time the bard's twist lapsed (found live in a two-bard group tonight; the recipient's log shows no sing or forget lines at all, just a cluster of first-person fades with "You slow down." seconds away). Coming in the next update: a shared slow line landing within seconds of other song fades is read as the haste lapsing - in both directions, so a chip that already appeared retro-clears when the cluster prints - and slow chips are now right-click dismissible for whatever no heuristic can catch. You know whether you're actually slowed; now the chip defers to you. |

Now live in v1.76.0 - the group-member fix (pulse-landing + fade-cluster guards, both directions) plus right-click dismissal on slow chips. Bard groups should finally be silent. |
Uh oh!
