M5 adds the craftable controller and worker management interface for Minecraft 1.21.1.

This is a prerelease for client testing. The independent automated M5 profile passes, including 28 native and 77 worker GameTests. Human checks of layout, keyboard controls, tooltips, inventory interaction, toasts and sound remain pending; M5 milestone acceptance is still pending.

Changes

  • Controller opens the current holder's roster, with up to ten active workers and cross-dimension control. New workers have nine empty inventory slots and no starter equipment.
  • Worker job, inventory and settings screens, searchable multi-target block selection, finite or unlimited jobs, and Pause/Resume/Stop controls.
  • Isolated native settings with personal profiles, per-worker overrides, inheritance, validation and reset controls.
  • Batch job previews and confirmation, safe asynchronous deployment/relocation, retirement, archived inventory withdrawal and reactivation.
  • Persistent owner-only completion notifications and inbox, with separate toast and sound preferences.
  • Server-authoritative menus, ownership checks, inventory and persistence. Native Automatone continues to own discovery, mining, movement and pathfinding.
  • Removed workflow source-file hash approval checks; exact reviewed warning line migrations are covered by focused contract checks.

Install and test

Use Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249 and Java 21. Install both included JARs on the client and, if applicable, the dedicated server. Replace older Automatone and Automatone Worker JARs. Use a disposable test world with cheats enabled.

Download automatone-M5-test.zip for both mods, installation notes, artifact checksums and the manual checklist. The JARs and checklist are also attached separately. Follow M5_MANUAL_ACCEPTANCE.md and report the numbered check, GUI scale and reproduction steps for any failure.

The tested production JARs are from b379805d8bfe282b21252150c875f6cffd2f1cc4. The final automated workflow verification is recorded at 1d2aaa4d0b87d062bdab9a72cbdc9157dfb4a166. Subsequent commits contain evidence, approved workflow documents and GUI concept references; product source is unchanged.
