Automatone 0.12.1 — overview and Collection fixes
Changes
- Relocate selected overview workers, queued through the shared four-preparation limit.
- Visible draggable overview scrollbar and worker range indicator.
- Fix Collection selection and transfers failing with STALE_COLLECTION while workers mine; selected icons now show a green tint and outline.
Install
Replace both JARs on the server and all clients with version 0.12.1. Requires Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge 21.1.249 or newer compatible 21.1 builds. Controller protocol 5 requires matching versions.
The ZIP contains both JARs, checksums and the six-step in-game checklist. These files are also attached separately.
Verification
Compilation, 22 unit tests, five architecture tests, Checkstyle and SpotBugs passed. GameTest regression source compiled; no in-game tests were run. In-game acceptance remains pending human testing, so this is a prerelease.

Automatone 0.12.0 — global worker management
Automatone 0.12.0 adds global worker management for Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge 21.1.249 or newer compatible 21.1 builds.
Changes
- Fleet selection with Start, Pause, Resume, Stop and Retire actions.
- Batch jobs for existing and new workers, Fill to 10, actual player-inventory kits, per-worker quantities and up to four simultaneous preparations.
- Global collection across owned workers and archives, exact item variants, filters, partial transfers and optional retirement with overflow preserved.
- A 64-cobblestone working reserve, pickup defaults and worker overrides, with native bridge/pillar placement.
- Death archives that preserve inventory, equipment, identity and job progress, plus safe reactivation.
Install
Download automatone-0.12.0-global-management.zip, or download both JARs separately. Replace both older mod JARs on the server and all participating clients; keep only one version of each mod. Both mods must be version 0.12.0. Controller protocol 4 rejects older clients.
The ZIP includes both JARs, the user guide, a numbered 12-step in-game checklist and SHA256SUMS.txt. The guide and checksums are also attached separately.
Verification
Independent compilation, unit tests, Checkstyle, Error Prone, SpotBugs, ArchUnit and duplication checks passed. Package metadata, matching dependencies and SHA256 checks passed.
This is a prerelease. All in-game acceptance remains PENDING — HUMAN TESTING, including GUI layout, gameplay and restart persistence. See M5_GLOBAL_MANAGEMENT_USER_GUIDE.md for actions and expected results.
Release commit: 8d8184fb7e09abd6826fc23601ca16ef0cb14b90. Product source was independently checked at e987600a24fdaf4cfa184b41ecccd667fd3f9d12; the later commit only records workflow and handoff evidence.

M5 preview — worker controller and GUI
M5 adds the craftable controller and worker management interface for Minecraft 1.21.1.
This is a prerelease for client testing. The independent automated M5 profile passes, including 28 native and 77 worker GameTests. Human checks of layout, keyboard controls, tooltips, inventory interaction, toasts and sound remain pending; M5 milestone acceptance is still pending.
Changes
- Controller opens the current holder's roster, with up to ten active workers and cross-dimension control. New workers have nine empty inventory slots and no starter equipment.
- Worker job, inventory and settings screens, searchable multi-target block selection, finite or unlimited jobs, and Pause/Resume/Stop controls.
- Isolated native settings with personal profiles, per-worker overrides, inheritance, validation and reset controls.
- Batch job previews and confirmation, safe asynchronous deployment/relocation, retirement, archived inventory withdrawal and reactivation.
- Persistent owner-only completion notifications and inbox, with separate toast and sound preferences.
- Server-authoritative menus, ownership checks, inventory and persistence. Native Automatone continues to own discovery, mining, movement and pathfinding.
- Removed workflow source-file hash approval checks; exact reviewed warning line migrations are covered by focused contract checks.
Install and test
Use Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249 and Java 21. Install both included JARs on the client and, if applicable, the dedicated server. Replace older Automatone and Automatone Worker JARs. Use a disposable test world with cheats enabled.
Download automatone-M5-test.zip for both mods, installation notes, artifact checksums and the manual checklist. The JARs and checklist are also attached separately. Follow M5_MANUAL_ACCEPTANCE.md and report the numbered check, GUI scale and reproduction steps for any failure.
The tested production JARs are from b379805d8bfe282b21252150c875f6cffd2f1cc4. The final automated workflow verification is recorded at 1d2aaa4d0b87d062bdab9a72cbdc9157dfb4a166. Subsequent commits contain evidence, approved workflow documents and GUI concept references; product source is unchanged.
M5 inventory preview — 36 slots and automatic cleanup
Workers now have a full 36-slot inventory: one hotbar and three storage rows. The inventory screen shows your inventory on the left and the worker's on the right, with tabs for narrow windows.
- Collect all transfers only what fits into your inventory; overflow stays with the worker. Retired inventories remain withdrawal-only.
- Automatic cleanup provides a per-worker unwanted-block list and retained count, defaulting to 64 per listed item. It starts disabled. Enable it, Apply, and close the worker menu to let cleanup run.
- Cleanup skips excess unwanted pickups and drops excess listed stacks only when a wanted pickup needs room. Tools, custom stacks, current targets, and learned mined outputs are protected.
- Existing nine-slot inventories retain their items. Full inventories and cleanup settings persist with the worker.
- Includes a fix for unavailable roster entries caused by committed death followed by chunk unload. Recovery of the originally reported worker remains unverified until retried in that world.
Installation
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249, Java 21. Close Minecraft/server, remove the older Automatone and Automatone Worker JARs, and install both included 0.11.1 JARs on client and server. The menu protocol changed, so both sides must update together.
The ZIP contains both mods, installation notes, the client checklist, and checksums. Automatone's existing allowInventory setting enables automatic tool moves from storage to the hotbar; its default is unchanged.
Verification
Automated checks passed after the two findings from the independent gate were repaired and the affected checks rerun. The complete runtime evidence covers 28 native and 99 worker GameTests; both isolated save/restart phases passed. Compilation, unit tests, architecture, Checkstyle, Error Prone, SpotBugs, and CPD passed using the recorded applicable evidence.
This remains an M5 prerelease: real client layout and interaction checks are pending. Use the attached checklist; M5 is not yet marked accepted.
Release commit: 7cce1ded816fd03135804e00802d09e8f4156823. Verified production source: c6d384b31d586a66115509b5aa872070279daf01; the later commit only records verification evidence.
M3 preview — item pickup fix
M3 preview — item pickup fix (f2568be)
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249, Java 21.
Remove the three previous preview jars, then install these three jars in mods.
Use a fresh disposable world with cheats, /gamemode spectator, then
/worker_m3_demo start. Native mining uses normal speed.
Workers now collect nearby real drops into their nine-slot inventory. Pickup
preserves the selected tool and leaves items that do not fit on the ground.
Vanilla pickup delay and mobGriefing/event rules are respected.
Validation: all 34 worker GameTests passed, including partial/full inventory,
pickup delay, held-tool preservation and the earlier slow-mining regressions.
Jars built successfully. Manual visual acceptance remains pending.
Inventory persistence and inventory UI remain later milestone work.
M3 preview — mining speed fix
M3 preview mining fix — c322264
Requires Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249, Java 21.
Remove the three jars from the old preview, then put these three jars in mods.
Do not keep both old and new demo jars. Use a fresh disposable cheats-enabled world.
/gamemode spectator
/worker_m3_demo start
The demo now mines at normal speed. Native path cost also accounts for the
BLOCK_BREAK_SPEED attribute, fixing the mismatch that could time out and restart
slow mining. Use /worker_m3_demo cancel to stop a demo.
Build and packaging passed. The original mismatch was reproduced by a failing
regression before the fix. Post-fix GameTests and extended analysis were skipped
at the user's request for prompt delivery. Manual completion retest remains pending.
Temporary M3 preview — Minecraft 1.21.1
Temporary M3 preview — commit 55f82e3
Requires Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249, and Java 21.
Put all three included jars into your instance's mods folder for the demo.
The automatone and automatone-worker jars are the actual mods. The separate
m3-demo jar exposes the temporary manual-test commands and is optional otherwise.
Use a disposable world with cheats enabled; the demo creates a chamber.
/gamemode spectator
/worker_m3_demo start
Observe the Stevenator skin/layers, held pickaxe, movement/facing, arm swings,
progressive cracks, repeated hit sounds, final break effects, and raw iron drops.
Mining is deliberately slowed to 2.5% speed in this demo.
Start again and use /worker_m3_demo cancel while cracks are visible: swings and
hit sounds should stop, cracks disappear, and the unfinished ore remain intact.
Start again to confirm mining resumes.
Automated checks passed: root 28/28; worker 31/31 in three fresh server runs;
required compilation/static analysis. Manual visual/audio acceptance is pending.
M3 is not yet accepted; no M4 GUI, persistence or quantity controls are included.
