Ammerow 0.1.0
The first public Early Access release of Ammerow: Lands Beyond, a free, single-player, turn-based roguelike with overworld exploration, the Meridian dungeon, side-view caves, climbing and fishing.
Download and play
- Download Ammerow-0.1.0-windows-x64.zip below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit).
- Extract the whole ZIP to a writable folder.
- Open the extracted folder and run ammerow.exe. Do not run it from inside the ZIP.
This is the complete playable Windows edition, including ASCII illustrations, optional Hybrid 32x32/64x64 graphics, sound effects and home-screen music. No Steam account is needed. Press F1 or ? in-game for help.
The adjacent .sha256 file provides a checksum for checking the download.
Source and licences
The game ZIP includes its corresponding program source in source/Ammerow-source.zip. This repository's v0.1.0 tag contains the same source files. GitHub's automatic Source code downloads are for building the game, not ready-to-play downloads.
The program is GPLv2. Ammerow artwork and audio are separately licensed; they are included in the playable download, not this source repository. See the accompanying notices for permissions and third-party licences.
Early Access saves
Save compatibility between Early Access versions is not guaranteed. Updates may require a new character. Back up your saves and retain the matching game version if you want to continue an existing run. We will flag known incompatibilities in release notes.
