If you are a operator and you register you will only receive +o after logging in.

Usage: /msg NickServ HELP

Register with your password and optionally a email. Email does not yet have a purpose. Grants you mode +r when you register.

Usage: /msg NickServ REGISTER <password> [email]

Logs you into the account of your nickname.

Usage: /msg NickServ IDENTIFY <password>
