PicFormat Image Converter

Convert your photos to any format, right on your phone. No account, no ads, no uploads.

Why this exists

Most image converters on the App Store are paid, ad-laden, or both. For something this simple, that always felt like a lot to ask. PicFormat Image Converter is a free alternative: pick a photo, pick a format, get your file. Nothing about it needs to leave your phone, so it never does.

What it does

  • Import from your Photo Library, the Files app, or straight from the camera — one photo or a whole batch at once.
  • Convert to JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP, SVG, or PDF. The format picker only ever offers what your device can actually produce — HEIC support, for instance, varies by hardware — rather than showing an option that would just fail on your phone.
  • Control compression with four tiers, from Lossless down to Maximum Compression, for any format where that tradeoff actually applies.
  • Combine into a PDF — convert a batch of photos into a single multi-page PDF, or keep them as separate files, your choice.
  • Save or share the result straight to Photos, to Files, or through the standard iOS share sheet.

Every conversion happens entirely on your device. There's no server behind this app, no account to create, and nothing about your photos is ever collected or transmitted anywhere — see the Privacy Policy for the full details.
