v1.5.8: QOL Improvements

Linux and Mac ports are still on the way in the next 7-14 days post this release. In the meantime, we’re working on smoothing out other improvements suggested by the community before we begin making official splits.

Fixes implemented for 1.5.8:

  • Port 8080 ditched for variable ports, accessible via installer + config menu
  • No more set GPU layers, user control shifted to config, default in place for users who may be unfamiliar with this practice
  • Zombie requests no longer kill the LAN server [hit stop > another request is sent before the first has finished processing = server must process every request before stabilizing]. Stabilization no longer requires processing the request backlog.
  • Ollama no longer mistaken for llama.cpp
  • Search proxy [OK] on 503 issue fixed, same root cause as other bugs this prior to 1.5.8
