Bluetooth Setup & Pairing

This guide explains how to connect your Engage Pro Elite to a Bluetooth speaker.

🔵 Bluetooth Mode Overview

Bluetooth is the default audio mode.

When powered on:

  • The device will attempt to reconnect to the last paired speaker
  • If successful, boot audio will play automatically after 5-10 seconds of connecting to speaker.
  • Blue LED will illuminate to reflect Bluetooth is connected.

⚠️ On first use, you will need to pair a speaker.

🔗 Pairing a New Bluetooth Speaker

You can enter pairing mode one of two ways:

  1. Put your speaker into pairing mode
  2. Power on the device
  3. A - Either press and hold Button 1 on the main unit or
  4. B - Hold Button 1 + Button 2, While holding, press Button 5 on the palm unit
  5. Release all buttons
  6. The Blue led will blink to confirm unit is in pairing mode.

The device will:

  • Clear any previous pairing data
  • Enter pairing mode
  • Begin scanning for nearby speakers
  • Onboard Blue LED will begin flashing (this can be observed through the pin hole ontop of the case) to show device is in pairing mode.
  • If no Bluetooth device is connected after 20 seconds the pairing mode will automatically turn off and the Blue LED will stop flashing.

📶 Connecting Your Speaker

  1. Ensuring your Bluetooth speaker into pairing mode
  2. Wait for the Engage Pro Elite to find and connect
  3. Is speaker supports it there will be an audio queue to confirm devices are connected.
  4. Engage Pro Elite Blue LED will move from flashing to static.
  5. After a few seconds your default character boot sound will be played.
  6. Your Engage Pro Elite is now ready for use.

✅ Once connected:

  • The device will remember this speaker for future use
  • On next boot, it will attempt to reconnect automatically

⏱ Connection Timing

  • Initial connection may take a few seconds
  • If connection fails, power down device and follow connection steps again. (Testing has shown first connection attempt with some speakers can time out)
  • Audio playback will begin once the connection is fully established

⚠️ You may notice a short delay before the boot sound plays — this is normal

🔄 Reconnecting

On future power-ups:

  • The device will automatically reconnect to the last paired speaker (ensure your speaker is already powered on)
  • No button input is required

If it does not reconnect:

  • Ensure the speaker is powered on
  • Ensure the speaker is not connected to another device
  • Restart both devices if needed
