Creating Your Own Sound Packs

This guide explains how to prepare your own audio files for use with the Engage Pro Elite.

โš ๏ธ This guide covers the standard button naming convention for Click and Hold actions only.

๐Ÿ“ File Naming Convention

Each button on the Engage Pro Elite supports two primary actions:

  • Click
  • Short Hold

Each action is identified by a specific file name.

Click Actions

Button File Name
Button 1 t1clk.wav
Button 2 t2clk.wav
Button 3 t3clk.wav
Button 4 t4clk.wav
Button 5 t5clk.wav
Button 6 t6clk.wav
Button 7 t7clk.wav
Button 8 t8clk.wav

Short Hold Actions

Button File Name
Button 1 t1hld.wav
Button 2 t2hld.wav
Button 3 t3hld.wav
Button 4 t4hld.wav
Button 5 t5hld.wav
Button 6 t6hld.wav
Button 7 t7hld.wav
Button 8 t8hld.wav

Multiple Sounds Per Button

A button can contain multiple sounds for either Click or Hold actions.

Simply increment the number at the end of the filename.

Examples

Click:

t1clk1.wav
t1clk2.wav
t1clk3.wav

Hold:

t4hld1.wav
t4hld2.wav
t4hld3.wav

When multiple files are present, the Engage Pro Elite will cycle through them in sequence.

๐ŸŽต Audio Format Requirements

All audio files must use the following format:

Setting Value
File Type WAV
Bit Depth 16-bit
Channels Mono
Sample Rate 44,100 Hz

Using any other format may result in:

  • Audio playing too quickly
  • Audio playing too slowly
  • Distorted playback
  • Incorrect volume levels
  • Files not playing at all

๐Ÿ“ฆ Installing Your Sound Pack

Once your audio files have been prepared, they can be installed onto your Engage Pro Elite.

๐Ÿ‘‰ See:

Installing & Removing Sound Packs

This guide explains:

  • Folder structure
  • Character profiles
  • Installing new sound packs
  • Removing existing sound packs

โš ๏ธ Audio Troubleshooting

If you experience audio issues such as:

  • Sounds playing too fast
  • Sounds playing too slow
  • Audio that is too quiet
  • Audio that is too loud
  • Distorted playback

Please verify your audio files are using the correct format before assuming there is a problem with the Engage Pro Elite.

The vast majority of playback issues are caused by incorrectly formatted audio files rather than a fault with the device.
