#Software and Data Requirements

In order to publish the routing services you need the following software and data

##Software

• ArcGIS for Desktop 10.4 or later. ArcGIS for Desktop can have Basic or later license level. A license for Network Analyst Extension is required.
• ArcGIS for Server 10.4 or later (Windows or Linux) with an existing deployment of ArcGIS Server site. ArcGIS for Server must have Network Analyst Extension license.

Use the same version of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS for Server. For example, if you are publishing services to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5, you need to use ArcGIS Desktop 10.5. Similarly, if you are publishing services to ArcGIS for Server 10.4, you need to use ArcGIS for Desktop 10.4

##Data

• StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS 2015 Release 1 or later. HERE and TomTom versions are supported.

Only network dataset that is included with StreetMap Premimum for ArcGIS is supported. Your own network datasets or older versions of Streetmap Premium network datasets (including the network datasets in SDC format) are not supported.

Once you have installed the required software and acquired the approriate StreetMap Premium for ArcGIS data, you can proceed to install the data.
