OverflowBar 1.0.17 is a stable release focused on reliable menu-bar interaction and fast activation.

Fixed

• Preserved native application menus after activating an item from the overflow panel.
• Prevented internal pointer handling from warping or replacing the user's cursor position.
• Improved activation reliability for menu-bar items that expose menus or require protected WindowServer paths.
• Kept the original hidden-layout behavior stable while refreshing menu-bar items.

macOS 15 compatibility test

Users on macOS 15 who experience difficulty hiding menu-bar icons can try the latest compatibility test build: OverflowBar 1.0.17 Compatibility Test 2. It adds a bounded Accessibility fallback for discovering, hiding, restoring, temporarily revealing, activating, and re-hiding status items that do not expose a usable WindowServer window. This is a prerelease for testing, not a replacement for the stable package.

Install

1. Download OverflowBar-1.0.17.dmg.
2. Open the disk image and drag OverflowBar to Applications.
3. If macOS shows an unidentified-developer warning, Control-click the app and choose Open.
4. Grant Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions for the complete feature set.
