PointFreeMCP 0.1.0

First release of PointFreeMCP: a Point-Free MCP server for Claude Code and other MCP clients, modelled after sosumi.

Highlights

• Seven tools: searchPointFree, fetchEpisode (full transcript with code blocks, or a single chapter), listEpisodes, fetchCollection, listBlogPosts, fetchBlogPost, login.
• Members-only transcripts via your own Point-Free membership: pointfree-mcp login opens a GitHub sign-in window, validates the session cookie against pointfree.co and stores it in ~/.pointfree-mcp/session.json (mode 0600). The login tool renews the 7-day session from inside your MCP client.
• On demand, nothing pre-downloaded: episode metadata from the public JSON API, search and collections from the public pages, transcripts parsed from the episode page, blog posts from the post page. Responses cached in memory for one hour; transcripts never written to disk.
• Clean markdown output with timestamped chapter links, speaker names and ```swift code blocks.
• Swift 6, macOS 26; built on the official MCP Swift SDK, SwiftSoup and swift-dependencies. 80 tests, plus live tests behind POINTFREE_LIVE=1.

Install

Then call the login tool (or run pointfree-mcp login) once for members-only episodes. See the README for the full tool reference, usage tips and troubleshooting.

Requirements

macOS 26, Xcode 26. A Point-Free membership is needed only for members-only episodes; search, free episodes, collections and the blog work without one.
