Choose a tag to compare

@Exulizer Exulizer released this 28 Aug 19:43
2f735bd

LayerSpy v1.7.0 introduces two major diagnostic engines designed to catch print defects before they reach the build plate: the VFA & Ghosting Radar and the Corner & Deceleration Auditor with automatic Pressure Advance detection.

🌟 New Features & Highlights

📡 VFA & Ghosting Radar

  • Vibration Corridor Detection: Configure two distinct speed bands (defaults: 45–65 mm/s and 90–110 mm/s) to target known stepper motor resonance frequencies and belt vibrations.
  • Outer Wall Ratio Analysis: Dynamically calculates the exact percentage of outer walls printed in the hazard zones. Triggers an alert if $> 15%$ of outer perimeters are affected.
  • Dedicated Visual Radar Mode: Highlights high-risk outer perimeters in Magenta, safe speeds in Green, and dims internal structures in translucent gray (available in both 2D and 3D).

📐 Corner & Deceleration Auditor (Bulging & Pressure Advance)

  • Vector Angle Geometry Engine: Identifies sharp corner vertices ($\alpha < 100^\circ$ / direction changes $> 80^\circ$) across outer walls.
  • Deceleration Delta Tracking: Flags acute nozzle pressure spikes when entering corners with speed drops $\Delta v > 60\text{ mm/s}$.
  • Smart Pressure Advance (PA) Auditor:
    • Automatically scans G-Code for Klipper SET_PRESSURE_ADVANCE, Marlin M900 K, and slicer configuration comments.
    • No PA Configured: Highlights vertices as 🔴 High Bulge Risk.
    • PA Active: Classifies vertices as 🟡 PA Stress Points (firmware compensation active).
  • Canvas Warning Overlays: Renders glowing warning beacons on the exact vertices of affected corners in 2D and 3D with an on/off toggle.

🎨 UI & Layout Stability

  • Jitter-Free Control Bar: Separated view modes, legends, and playback sliders into distinct, fixed-height flex containers to eliminate layout jumping when switching between analysis modes.
  • Bento Widget Integration: Real-time summary cards for VFA status and Pressure Advance diagnostics in the sidebar.
  • Enhanced Linter Navigation: Added direct "Jump to Layer" buttons in the G-Code Inspector for all corner warnings.

🛠️ Technical Details

  • Pure Vanilla JS: Zero build steps, zero external runtime frameworks.
  • Instant Processing: Performs real-time evaluations across typed Float32Array buffers without re-parsing large G-Code files.
  • Bilingual: Full support for English and German.

🚀 LayerSpy Update: Klipper Colors, Dynamic Heatmaps & True Kinematics

@Exulizer Exulizer released this 22 Aug 18:58
2f735bd

🎨 New Feature Coloring (Slicer Standard)

The feature type colors in the 3D and 2D previews have been completely overhauled to match the classic standard (familiar from Klipper, Mainsail, PrusaSlicer, or Orca):

  • Orange: Outer Wall
  • Yellow: Inner Wall / Perimeter
  • Red: Infill / Sparse Infill
  • Purple: Solid Infill / Bottom Surface
  • Pink: Top Surface / Skin
  • Light Blue: Bridge / Overhang
  • White: Gap Fill
  • Green: Support

Now you can tell exactly what structures your model consists of at a glance, without staring at a sea of yellow!

🏎️ Dynamic Heatmaps & Perfect Contrast

The speed preview ("Speed") no longer relies on fixed, hardcoded limits (e.g., 240 mm/s).
LayerSpy now dynamically analyzes the absolute maximum speed present in your specific print when loading the G-Code. The color gradient (Blue to Red) and the legend automatically scale perfectly between 0 and your maximum.
Whether you are printing a delicate cylinder at 40 mm/s or a massive part at 300 mm/s – you always get the full color palette and perfect contrast!

📈 "Actual Speed" (True Kinematics) - Massive Improvements

The kinematics mode has been vastly improved:

  • True Heatmap: "Actual Speed" now defaults to the dynamic Blue-to-Red scale, but is based on the actually achievable print head speed (v_real) instead of the target speed requested by the slicer. You can instantly see where your printer physically has to slow down on sharp corners and small curves!
  • New Efficiency Gradient: You can enable a special "Efficiency Gradient" (Red to Green) in the kinematics mode via a new checkbox. This mode shows you the percentage ratio between target and actual speed. It immediately highlights the bottlenecks (acceleration & jerk) in your G-Code where the slicer demands 100% speed, but the hardware simply cannot keep up.

🐛 Bugfixes & UI Optimizations

  • Fixed an issue in the 2D layer view where certain kinematics features were not rendered or had incorrect colors.
  • The speed distribution histogram now uses correct scaling to match the 3D view.
  • Fixed corrupted characters and emojis (?) in the UI and G-Code Explorer.
  • Added missing German and English translations for the new UI elements and modes.

LayerSpy v1.3.0 - The Precision & IDE Update

Choose a tag to compare

@Exulizer Exulizer released this 22 Aug 13:34
2f735bd

This major update transforms the G-Code Explorer into a full-fledged IDE tree view and brings absolute, frame-perfect control to the playback simulator.

✨ New Features & Improvements

🌳 IDE-Style G-Code Explorer

  • Tree-View Hierarchy: Folded sections (like ;LAYER: or ;TYPE:) now visually indent all of their child commands perfectly.
  • Vertical Guide Lines: Added a continuous, faint vertical tree-line extending from the +/- buttons down the entire block, exactly like modern code editors (e.g. VS Code).
  • Pixel-Perfect Alignment: The bookmark buttons (★) and G-code text of child lines are now mathematically aligned with their parent headers for a much cleaner layout.
  • Smart Active Line Visibility: When a child line becomes active during playback, it receives a thick yellow left-border that highlights perfectly on the indented edge without breaking the tree structure.
  • Smart Layer Jump: Jumping to a new layer now automatically highlights the very first command of that layer, rather than leaving the list blank.

🎥 Playback Speed Overhaul

  • Absolute Speed Control: The playback speed has been completely decoupled from layer size. A layer with 15,000 paths no longer races through the list uncontrollably.
  • Micro-Adjustments: Expanded the speed dropdown to give you absolute control:
    • 0.1x (Extremely slow - perfect for debugging the nozzle path)
    • 0.25x
    • 0.5x
    • 1.0x (Default - exactly 30 lines per second)
    • 2.0x
    • 5.0x
    • 10.0x (Fast-forward mode)
  • Continuous Tracking: The G-Code Explorer now automatically paginates and keeps the active line perfectly centered in your viewport while playing or scrubbing the slider.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Under The Hood

  • Auto-Pagination Loop Fix: Fixed a critical bug where the pagination engine would miscalculate the target page during playback, causing it to freeze or loop infinitely.
  • Slider Rendering: Fixed a visual glitch where the playback slider's background track color (orange fill) wouldn't update programmatically during auto-playback.
  • Contrast Improvements: Switched the playback speed dropdown to use the dark theme (upload-btn class) so the text is actually readable.
  • CSS Architecture: Migrated inline styles for the G-Code list into structured CSS classes (.is-child) with robust cache busting (?v=2) to ensure styles load reliably.

  • Versioning: Updated to 1.2.0 across package.json and the built-in update checker.
  • Optimization: The app_v5.min.js core has been updated with all new features and thoroughly minified for maximum performance.

🛡️ Privacy First: As always, your G-Code files are analyzed strictly locally inside your browser. Your data never leaves your machine. No cloud uploads, ever!

### 🚀 LayerSpy Update v1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@Exulizer Exulizer released this 20 Jul 10:02
148179a

🎉 Willkommen beim LayerSpy v1.1.0 Update!
