Describe the Bug
I reproduced the bug in #27094499. Good examples can be seen at minutes 3:26, 3:40, 4:47, 6:09, and 7:11.
As seen in the replay, bomb velocities are very inconsistent. While hovering, T1 bombers can sometimes drop bombs that not even LABs would be able to dodge. This behavior is undesirable because:
- You would expect a hovering bomber to drop slow-falling bombs.
- The behavior is inconsistent but can be learned.
- Dodging with engineers is rendered impossible.
- Aeon and Seraphim bombers are most affected.
There have been attempts to fix this issue. I think #5565 helped but did not fully fix the issue. If I had to guess, this bug happens because the bomb inherits the bomber’s velocity for a short time, which causes it to drop almost instantly.
