Das große Whiteboard-Release: Das Board bekommt echte Stifte, eine Vorlagen-Bibliothek, einen PDF-Poster-Export und Text mit richtiger Typografie — und deine Coding-CLI zieht bei allem mit. Dazu kommt Grok als neue Coding-CLI und eine MCP-Anbindung, die einfach da ist.

🖊️ Whiteboard · Zeichnen & Präsentieren

  • Markierstift (Taste K): Ziehen mit gedrückter Maustaste zeichnet eine leuchtende Neonspur über das Board — mal eben eine Komponente einkreisen oder etwas unterstreichen, während du erklärst. Nach ein paar Sekunden verblasst die Spur von selbst und landet nie im Dokument: nichts zu speichern, nichts aufzuräumen. Gebaut fürs Screensharing.
  • Zeichenstift (Taste Z): Endlich frei Hand zeichnen — mit Farbe und Linienstärke aus der Werkzeugleiste und sauber geglätteten Strichen. Deine Zeichnungen sind ganz normale Elemente: verschieben, umfärben, löschen, exportieren wie alles andere.

✍️ Whiteboard · Text mit Typografie

  • Vier Schriften, vier Größen: Textfelder haben jetzt Schriftgröße (S/M/L/XL), vier Schriftbilder (Standard, Handschrift, Serif, Code) und Ausrichtung — direkt in der Werkzeugleiste, ohne Markdown-Umweg.
  • Text, der sich richtig anfühlt: Das Textwerkzeug springt nach dem Schreiben automatisch zurück auf Auswählen (kein versehentliches nächstes Textfeld), der aktive Editor zeigt einen dezenten Rahmen, und freie Textboxen lassen sich an den Griffen aufziehen — der Text bricht neu um, die Schriftgröße bleibt, wie sie ist.

📋 Whiteboard · Vorlagen-Bibliothek

  • Speichern per Rechtsklick: Markiere etwas auf dem Board und wähle „Als Vorlage speichern" — die Bibliothek ist global, deine Vorlage steht sofort in jedem Projekt bereit.
  • Einfügen am Mauszeiger: Die Vorlage klebt halbtransparent am Cursor; ein Klick setzt sie genau dort ab, Escape oder Rechtsklick bricht ab. Die Bibliothek zeigt echte Vorschauen, Löschen fragt vorher nach — und vier Starter liegen schon bereit: User Journey, Storyboard, SWOT-Analyse und Brainstorm.

🖨️ Whiteboard · PDF-Export mit Poster-Modus

  • Die aktive Board-Seite wird zum PDF — als einzelnes Blatt oder als Wandposter auf 4, 6 oder 9 Blättern mit Schnittmarken und Reihen-/Spalten-Beschriftung zum Zusammenkleben. A4 oder A3, quer oder hoch; die Datei landet im Projekt unter exports/, ein Klick zeigt sie im Finder.

🎯 Whiteboard · Pfeile, die mitdenken

  • Ausweichende Verbinder: Rechtwinklige Pfeile laufen um Knoten herum statt mitten hindurch — automatisch, bei jeder Bewegung neu berechnet. Der größte Zeitfresser beim Diagramm-Zeichnen ist damit einfach weg.
  • Pfeil-Knick gefixt: Senkrecht laufende Verbinder bogen beim Verschieben des Ziels in die falsche Richtung ab (Zickzack mit gespiegelter Achse) — der Endpunkt sitzt jetzt immer am Ziel, egal wohin es wandert.
  • Aufräumen auf Knopfdruck: Die Board-Prüfung erkennt kollidierende Beschriftungen, verirrte Elemente und leere Rahmen — der „Aufräumen"-Knopf repariert alles Reparierbare in einem Schritt: Überlappungen auseinanderschieben, abgeschnittenen Texten Platz geben, kreuzende Pfeile besser routen. Ein Undo genügt, falls es dir nicht gefällt.
  • Rechtsklick trifft die Auswahl: Gruppieren, Kopieren, Duplizieren, „Als Vorlage speichern" und Löschen erscheinen jetzt auch, wenn der Rechtsklick in eine Lücke der Markierung fällt (etwa mitten in eine Freihand-Figur) — vorher musste man pixelgenau einen Strich treffen.

🤝 Whiteboard · Dein Co-Zeichner zieht mit

  • Diagramme in einem Zug: Deine Coding-CLI legt ein komplettes Sequenz- oder ER-Diagramm (Akteure, Lifelines, Nachrichten bzw. Entitäten und Beziehungen) mit einem einzigen Kommando aufs Board — vorher waren das an die 40 handplatzierte Einzelteile. Das Ergebnis sind ganz normale Elemente.
  • Rahmen, die Auskunft geben: Gruppen-Rahmen zeigen der CLI jederzeit, was in ihnen liegt, lassen sich umbenennen und mit einem Kommando frisch um ihre Mitglieder legen. Kästen aus Batch-Aufrufen tragen ihre Beschriftung jetzt zuverlässig, und die Whiteboard-Werkzeuge melden ehrlich zurück, was sie getan haben.
  • Typografie per Werkzeug: Auch die CLI kann Schriftbild und Ausrichtung setzen — „nimm für das Label die Code-Schrift" funktioniert jetzt wörtlich.
  • Deine Tinte gehört dir: Handzeichnungen erscheinen der CLI ehrlich als Tinte, nie als Diagramm-Knoten — und bleiben bei jedem automatischen Layout und Aufräumen exakt liegen, wo du sie gezeichnet hast.

🖥️ Terminal & CLI-Anbindung

  • Grok ist an Bord: xAIs Grok CLI ist jetzt eine vollwertige Coding-CLI in makerOS — im Assistenten-Launcher, mit Aktionen- und Snippets-Leiste und automatisch mit allen makerOS-MCP-Servern verbunden. Das Schönste daran: Grok liest die .mcp.json deines Projekts direkt mit, es braucht keine eigene Config — einmal grok starten und deine Buddies, Tools und das Projektgedächtnis sind einfach da.
  • MCP-Anbindung, die einfach da ist: Frisch importierte Projekte werden direkt beim Import verdrahtet — .mcp.json, OpenCode, Codex und Vibe bekommen ihre makerOS-Verbindung, noch bevor du das erste Mal ins Terminal schaust. Kein „warum findet Claude die MCPs nicht?" mehr direkt nach dem Import.
  • MCP-Einstellungen neu schreiben: In den Projekt-Einstellungen gibt es dafür jetzt auch einen Knopf. Ein Klick, und alle vier CLIs werden mit den aktuell gültigen Ports und Tokens deiner laufenden makerOS-Session frisch verdrahtet — der Rettungsanker, falls eine CLI mal die Verbindung verliert.
  • Terminal in voller Größe: Direkt nach einem Projekt-Import startete die Coding-CLI im Werkstatt-Terminal manchmal in einer kleinen Box statt auf der ganzen Fläche. Schuld war ein winziges Timing-Fenster beim Terminal-Start — gefunden und geschlossen. Dein Terminal kennt seine echte Größe jetzt von der ersten Sekunde an.

✨ Feinschliff

  • Seitenleisten ohne Geister: „Layout auf den makerOS-Standard zurücksetzen" bringt eingeklappte Panels vollständig zurück — die schmale Randleiste samt „einblenden"-Knopf verschwindet mit, statt als toter Rand stehen zu bleiben. Ein- und Ausblenden von Projekte- und Makey-Spalte sitzt jetzt in jeder Kombination.

Installation: DMG öffnen und makerOS in den Programme-Ordner ziehen.

The big whiteboard release: the board gets real pens, a template library, a PDF poster export, and text with proper typography — with your coding CLI keeping pace on all of it. Plus Grok as a new coding CLI and MCP wiring that's simply there.

🖊️ Whiteboard · Drawing & presenting

  • Highlighter (key K): dragging with the mouse held down draws a glowing neon trail across the board — circle a component or underline something while you explain. A few seconds later the trail fades away by itself and never touches the document: nothing to save, nothing to clean up. Built for screen sharing.
  • Pen (key Z): freehand drawing at last — with color and stroke width from the toolbar and smoothly rendered strokes. Your drawings are perfectly ordinary elements: move, recolor, delete, export like anything else.

✍️ Whiteboard · Text with typography

  • Four typefaces, four sizes: text elements now have a font size (S/M/L/XL), four typefaces (standard, handwriting, serif, code), and alignment — right in the toolbar, no markdown detour.
  • Text that feels right: the text tool snaps back to select after writing (no accidental next text box), the active editor shows a subtle outline, and free text boxes resize at their handles — the text re-wraps, the font size stays put.

📋 Whiteboard · Template library

  • Save via right-click: select something on the board and choose "Save as template" — the library is global, so your template is instantly available in every project.
  • Insert at the cursor: the template rides your pointer as a translucent ghost; a click stamps it right there, Escape or right-click cancels. The library shows real previews, deleting asks first — and four starters are already in place: user journey, storyboard, SWOT analysis, and brainstorm.

  • The active board page becomes a PDF — a single sheet, or a wall poster across 4, 6, or 9 sheets with crop marks and row/column labels for taping together. A4 or A3, landscape or portrait; the file lands in your project under exports/, one click reveals it in Finder.

🎯 Whiteboard · Arrows that think along

  • Connectors that steer around things: right-angled arrows route around nodes instead of cutting straight through them — automatically, recomputed on every move. The single biggest time sink of diagram drawing is simply gone.
  • Arrow kink fixed: vertically routed connectors bent the wrong way when you moved their target (a zigzag with a mirrored axis) — the endpoint now always lands on the target, wherever it goes.
  • Tidy up with one click: the board check spots colliding labels, stray elements, and empty frames — the "Tidy up" button repairs everything repairable in one step: nudging overlaps apart, giving cut-off text room, rerouting crossing arrows. One undo brings it all back if you disagree.
  • Right-click hits the selection: group, copy, duplicate, "Save as template," and delete now appear even when the right-click lands in a gap of the selection (say, inside a freehand figure) — before, you had to hit a stroke pixel-perfectly.

🤝 Whiteboard · Your co-drawer keeps pace

  • Diagrams in one go: your coding CLI drops a complete sequence or ER diagram (actors, lifelines, messages — or entities and relations) onto the board with a single command — that used to be some 40 hand-placed pieces. The result is plain, ordinary elements.
  • Frames that answer questions: group frames tell the CLI at any time what they contain, can be renamed, and re-fit themselves around their members with one command. Boxes built in batch calls now reliably carry their labels, and the whiteboard tools honestly report what they did.
  • Typography by tool: the CLI can set typeface and alignment too — "use the code font for that label" now works literally.
  • Your ink is yours: hand drawings appear to the CLI honestly as ink, never as diagram nodes — and stay exactly where you drew them through every automatic layout and cleanup.

🖥️ Terminal & CLI wiring

  • Grok is on board: xAI's Grok CLI is now a first-class coding CLI in makerOS — in the assistant launcher, with the actions and snippets bar, and automatically connected to all makerOS MCP servers. The best part: Grok reads your project's .mcp.json directly, no config of its own needed — start grok once and your buddies, tools, and project memory are simply there.
  • MCP wiring that's just there: freshly imported projects are wired up the moment they're imported — .mcp.json, OpenCode, Codex, and Vibe get their makerOS connection before you ever open the terminal. No more "why can't Claude see the MCPs?" right after an import.
  • Rewrite MCP settings: and there's now a button for it in project settings, too. One click re-wires all four CLIs with the currently valid ports and tokens of your running makerOS session — your lifeline whenever a CLI loses the connection.
  • Terminal at full size: right after a project import, the coding CLI sometimes started in a small box in the workshop terminal instead of using the whole pane. The culprit was a tiny timing window during terminal startup — found and closed. Your terminal now knows its real size from the very first second.

✨ Polish

  • Side panels without ghosts: "Reset layout to the makerOS standard" now brings collapsed panels back completely — the slim edge rail with its "show" button disappears along with it instead of lingering as a dead margin. Collapsing and expanding the Projects and Makey columns now works in every combination.
