v0.12.0-dev06
Pre-release
Pre-release
Sixth dev pre-release of the 0.12.0 minor. A big Downloads pass: a proper offline library, downloaded music that plays in the music player, and Live TV recordings that download into their own section.
Added
- Downloads is now a full offline library (#29), organized into Movies, Music, Recordings, and TV Shows, each a poster grid that behaves just like the main library, same cover size, rating badges, and unwatched counts.
- A downloaded title opens a detail page identical to its library page (backdrop, poster, cast and crew, every enabled rating, overview, genres), but scoped to the download folder: only the episodes you have, and every action stays local to Downloads.
- Download music: a single track, or a whole album or artist (which queues its tracks). Downloaded music plays in the music player with the familiar album view, blurred cover backdrop, album art in the mini and full player, track durations, and an animated now-playing indicator, and it all works offline.
- Download Live TV recordings. They download into their own Recordings section, whether you grab a whole recorded series or a single episode.
- A download-only "Mark Watched" that never touches your server, plus a per-episode menu (Play, Mark Watched, Remove download).
- When you download a series, pick a scope: everything, or a single season. (#27)
- A dismissible banner when a new build is available, with a shortcut to the Updates screen, and a system notification for it on Android.
Changed
- The Downloads queue shows a floating pill (tap it to open Downloads) with a Cancel All action, and a series' episodes group by season with per-season cancel.
- Cover art, backdrops, cast photos, and episode thumbnails are cached at download time, so a downloaded detail page renders fully offline (episodes show their stills, matching the server view). Extra online ratings (Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd, and the rest) are cached too, and refresh whenever you open the page online.
- On a downloaded page, Cast and "Play on another device" appear only when they can actually work (online, with a target), since both stream from the server.
Tester build, report anything odd. The in-app updater's Dev channel will offer future dev builds automatically.
