IPQuality for Windows 0.8.0 — official upstream feature sync

@FinalVar FinalVar released this 13 Oct 06:46

Windows 0.8.0 synchronizes the native implementation with official xykt/IPQuality commit 87397e2 (script v2026-09-16). The main branch now mirrors that commit, and windows-native includes its history.

  • Updated ipapi and DB-IP requests, Amazon/Reddit/TikTok rules, DNS decisions and the 423-zone upstream DNSBL list.
  • Added the official basic-information languages with English labels, automatic IPinfo Lite fallback, ANSI export, official JSON field mapping, native interactive menu and opt-in online reports. Sponsor content and the official counter remain available as explicit options.
  • Preserved explicit routing, masked local reports, the Consolas 18 / 74x47 window contract and the UTF-8 decoding fix for GBK consoles. Historical reports are retained during upgrade.
  • The feature map records native adaptations and output differences; this is a community Windows port, not an official upstream Windows distribution.

Validation: offline regression and source-archive installation passed locally and on Windows CI at the exact source commit. Chinese/English IPv4 checks succeeded; the full current-route run returned 8 of 9 reputation sources. Some services returned TLS errors/timeouts. Real report upload, physical desktop display, IPv6 end-to-end and simultaneous same-exit Bash/native comparison were not revalidated; this remains a preview.

Download latest.zip and verify its SHA-256 against latest.sha256. latest.json records the source commit and every archived file. Extract, then run Install.cmd. The source commit is bcbbf30. See docs/upstream-sync/latest.md and docs/verification-latest.md in the package for the full scope.

IPQuality for Windows 0.7.1 — public preview

@FinalVar FinalVar released this 09 Oct 17:36

IPQuality for Windows now has a versioned public preview: a native PowerShell port of xykt/IPQuality with explicit proxy routing, masked reports and JSON export. No Docker or WSL is required.

这是 Windows 原生版的首个版本化公开预览。检测核心沿用现有实现;本轮补齐可校验发行包、中英文入口、离线演示和反馈模板。

Try it / 开始使用

  1. Install Microsoft PowerShell 7.2 or newer.
  2. Download latest.zip below and compare its SHA-256 with latest.sha256.
  3. Extract the ZIP, open IPQuality-Windows, double-click Install.cmd, then open a new terminal.
ipq # A detected local proxy's IPv4 exit; fails if no proxy is available
ipq -Direct # Explicit direct IPv4 test
ipq -IPv6     # Proxy IPv6; no IPv4 fallback

Before installing, the extracted source supports a no-network demo:

pwsh -NoProfile -File .\windows\Show-Demo.ps1

The demo is visibly labeled synthetic. The console currently uses mainly Chinese labels; English documentation does not imply an English UI.

Verification / 验证范围

  • Local offline regression passed, including existing parser, privacy, routing, installer, upgrade and uninstall checks.
  • This archive's 77 source files and SHA-256 values were checked. A fresh archive installation and the offline demo passed without modifying user PATH.
  • Windows CI passed for this exact commit, including offline regression and archive installation.
  • A real IPv4 base-information check returned a masked report and ASN. Risk, streaming/AI, SMTP and DNSBL checks were skipped in that live smoke test.

This is a prerelease. It does not claim fresh physical desktop acceptance, every Windows version, live IPv6, current availability of all external services, or a same-exit upstream comparison. These remain prerequisites for a stable release.

Source and integrity / 来源与校验

  • Source commit: 42060fed07ca322d2a80905c950739c78a55967d
  • ZIP SHA-256: 5d61d4bc8bd4d17f136d6f8168144c5566343f6be162c5a7727884ffade08600
  • latest.json records the commit, tree and every source-file hash.
  • Community derivative of xykt/IPQuality, under AGPL-3.0; not an official upstream Windows release.

The ZIP contains source scripts, not a signed executable. Hashes check integrity, not code-signing identity. Assembled reports are not uploaded, but external detection services can observe the tested exit IP.
