Quality Issues

There are known quality issues with the data recorded by the database a present, including bad values recorded by failing sensors. Information about data that is known to be bad or faulty can be found in one of two places (and sometimes both): under the individual pages for each monitoring site in the wiki, or in the issues page.

Integrated quality flags are slated for early 2016. For now, it is worth remembering to be cautious before accepting any data in this database as a given, and questions about data quality issues can be directed to seth [dot] bassett [at] dep [dot] state [dot] fl [dot] us.
