Module gps mod DSIDE_beta 0.4

Overview

This extraction module is in charge of extracting geopositions coming from GPS recievers that are engaged in the CSPS processing topology.

Module nomenclature

The module input stream is device-specific. The output streams consist simply in a physical stream that stores geopositions and an integer unitary stream that contains information on GPS signal quality.

The x and y component of the physical stream store respectively latitude and longitude in degrees. The z component contains the height above mean sea level in metres. The integer unitary stream stores compacted information on geoposition measures reliability such as fix, satellite count and dilution of position.

Module interface

This section gives a summary of the module interface in terms of streams and devices. The order of devices and streams is given as waited by the module. The devices interface is given by :

Module operation

The module has to know the incoming device type in order to read the provided logs. The GPS extraction module is able to consider the following GPS devices :

Any GPS reciever able to provide geopositions and measures quality can be implemented in the library.
