SymptomJournal v1.0.4 — Supabase Integration & Stability Release

Version v1.0.4 (Build 44) brings full database integration for Common Conditions and In-App Notifications, significant gesture and usability improvements to the logging slider, and enhanced AI and API resilience.

What's New

  • ** Supabase Relational Tables & RLS Migration**

    • public.common_conditions: Users can now record and persist pre-existing medical conditions (e.g. Migraine, IBS, Asthma) directly in Supabase, which dynamically feeds into the clinical Doctor Summary.
    • public.notifications: Added a dedicated in-app notification center. Users can view scheduled check-in reminders, AI pattern alerts, and mark them as read or dismiss them.
    • Complete SQL migration script provided in docs/supabase_schema.sql with full Row-Level Security (RLS) policies.
  • Interactive Notification Center & Header Badge

    • Added a notification bell icon with a real-time unread counter badge in the Home dashboard header.
    • Slide-up notification sheet allowing users to review alerts, mark items as read, or clear dismissed notices.
    • Automatic seeding of friendly initial check-in prompts for new accounts.
  • ** Custom Choice Deletion**

    • Added instant delete buttons with confirmation prompts for custom body areas and custom triggers on the Log a Symptom screen.

Fixes & Ergonomics

  • ** Severity Slider Jump Bug Resolved**

    • Re-engineered the 1–10 pain severity slider pan responder using screen-level pageX tracking and layout offset measurement.
    • Added a dead-zone filter so the slider never jumps wildly upon touch-down and glides smoothly across the gradient track.
  • ** 422 Payload Sanitization for Custom Triggers**

    • Mapped custom triggers to standard clinical payload structures (trigger_type: 'other') with custom label preservation.
    • Added detailed human-readable validation error reporting in Alert dialogs.
  • ** Relaxed Rate Limiting & Resilient AI Fallback**

    • Relaxed FastAPI rate limiting across endpoints (/patterns: 120/hr, /summary: 60/hr, /log: 120/hr) to prevent 429 lockouts during standard usage and testing.
    • Added deterministic fallback logic in ai_service.py to ensure pattern insights remain available even if upstream LLM providers hit temporary quotas.
  • ** UI & Onboarding Polish**

    • Replaced onboarding illustrations with Lucide icons matching brand colors.
    • Added "View Onboarding Tour" replay options in Settings and Auth screens.
    • Clinical doctor and clinic fields made explicitly optional with clean defaults.

Automated Testing & Verification

  • Frontend: 8/8 suites passing (61/61 automated tests passed in Jest).
  • Backend: 4/4 suites passing (49/49 automated tests passed in Pytest).
  • Architecture: React Native (Expo SDK 57) / FastAPI / Supabase PostgreSQL / NVIDIA Llama-3.2.
