v0.2.4

Choose a tag to compare

@Freshair129 Freshair129 released this 27 Aug 10:26
41c4968

Patch release — no engine or runtime behaviour changed. This tag is a delivery mechanism for two mobile-SDK surfaces that were finished on main but could not reach anyone, because the publish jobs no-op on an unchanged version.

Published

  • react-native-genesisdb 0.1.1 — the previously published 0.1.0 is broken on both platforms: its Android build.gradle declared mavenCentral() while the artifact lives on GitHub Packages, and its iOS module imported a Swift package npm cannot ship (pod install succeeded, then the build failed with no such module 'GenesisDB'). Both fixed.
  • dev.genesisblock:genesisdb-android 0.1.1 — adds the x86_64 ABI, without which the SDK cannot run in a standard Android Studio emulator on a Windows or Linux host at all. The .aar now ships three ABIs: arm64-v8a (7 MiB), armeabi-v7a (5 MiB), x86_64 (7 MiB).
  • @freshair129/gks-genesis-block-native 0.2.4 — the native addon, unchanged apart from the version.

Both npm packages are published under the beta dist-tag, so npm install <pkg> without a tag still resolves the previous latest.

See CHANGELOG.md for the full list — this release also carries CI hardening, artifact-integrity guards, and documentation corrections.

v0.2.0 — Mobile SDK release assets

Choose a tag to compare

@Freshair129 Freshair129 released this 23 Aug 23:20
5205b3e

GenesisBlockDB engine 0.2.0 — first non-beta release. Mobile SDK release assets for MARK XVI Phase B: the compiled C ABI (iOS) and the Android library (.aar), built from main @ 5205b3e.

What's in this release

  • GenesisBlockDB.xcframework.zip — the compiled C ABI (src/ffi.rs) for aarch64-apple-ios (device) + aarch64-apple-ios-sim (Apple Silicon simulator). This is the raw static-library artifact ios/genesisdb's Swift wrapper (GenesisDB/GenesisDBTypes) links against — see ios/README.md.
    SHA256: 8359846a8e668770816e0d84940aead0a85812f5aa67f91e7c2ff8308d37bc72
  • genesisdb-android-0.1.0.aar — the Android library (Kotlin wrapper dev.genesisblock.GenesisDB over the JNI bridge, src/jni.rs), built for arm64-v8a + armeabi-v7a. Package version 0.1.0 (independent of the engine version — see modules.json). See android/README.md.
    SHA256: 7c3733065c2fe936d50b5e69e50a4bd958a851f322d48676dc7a9700f54bed7

Both were built by .github/workflows/mobile-build.yml (ios-xcframework / android-aar jobs) on the merge commit for #123.

What this does and doesn't unblock

Unblocked: the s.vendored_frameworks / raw-.aar reference every mobile-SDK doc has been marking "not yet published" now has a concrete URL + checksum to point at.

Still open (unchanged by this release — see docs/SPEC--MOBILE-SDK.md §B-1/§B-2 for the full list):

  • No package-manager index yet — this is a raw GitHub Release download, not a Maven Central / CocoaPods Trunk / SPM registry entry. ios/genesisdb/Package.swift still links a locally-built .a for its own tests (switching it to consume this xcframework via .binaryTarget would drop the host-executable round-trip test's ability to actually run — see the file's own header comment); android/build.gradle's Maven coordinate (dev.genesisblock:genesisdb-android:0.1.0) still doesn't resolve anywhere.
  • react-native-genesisdb is not published to npm.
  • On-device / real-host-app acceptance testing remains the same carve-out documented throughout the mobile SDK work.

Engine capabilities at 0.2.0

See the README "Current Version" section for the full list — hybrid vector+graph+relational queries in one engine, two-axis bitemporal time travel, the epoch-segmented (E1/E2) tx_as_of line, and the measured 115–188x moat verdict (docs/REPORT--G3-MOAT-VERDICT.md, docs/REPORT--MOAT-FOLLOWUPS.md).

v0.1.0-beta.1 — first beta

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@Freshair129 Freshair129 released this 24 Jun 19:49
c378ab3

First beta of the GenesisBlockDB engine — local-first hybrid semantic-graph + vector database in a single Rust core (npm native addon + Axum REST server).

Highlights

  • WAL compaction — WalMsg::Checkpoint truncates the WAL through the writer thread and compacts to live state in save_state(), removing the ~20 GB-@-1M-nodes unbounded-growth blocker. Heavier / long-running ingest is no longer disk-bound.
  • Reproducible builds — Cargo.lock is now tracked (it was being swallowed by a broad **/*.lock ignore).
  • Version manifest — new root modules.json anchors the 6 independently-versioned surfaces (npm addon, Python/Go SDKs, MCP, dashboard, Obsidian plugin) to the engine on-disk schemaVersion = 1.

Maturity

Developer-preview / local-first beta. Suitable for small–medium workloads; the on-disk format may still change before 1.0. Engine is an advanced prototype with full correctness coverage (MARK XIV complete).

Verification

  • cargo test: 36 binaries · 137 tests · 0 failed (incl. wal_compaction_tests)
  • CI "Scientific Performance Audit": pass

Not yet shipped (planned)

  • Multi-platform npm publish (needs a CI build matrix for all 4 native targets — not yet set up)
  • SBOM (CycloneDX/SPDX) at release time
  • feat/mxv-p1-validation RSS+recall evidence docs
  • Embedding-model provenance field on collection metadata
