Troubleshooting
PlxNative requires webOS platform release 4.0 or newer. Static firmware checks show that 3.9.2 and older cannot load the app. If your TV is newer, report the model, the platform release shown by webOS Dev Manager, and the installed PlxNative version.
LG Developer Mode expires after roughly 1000 hours and removes applications installed through it. Renew the session before it expires or reinstall the IPK. Homebrew Channel installations do not have this expiry.
This is tracked in issue #76, particularly on webOS platform releases 5 through 11. Keep the exact on-screen storage failure and use Details → Send report when offered. Repeating the QR flow does not repair an unwritable storage location.
This is a specific native-video sandbox problem reported on Realtek k5lp/k3lp sets. Choose one route:
- Rooted repair, using the v0.6.5 Repair button and an elevated Homebrew Channel service.
- Experimental Developer Mode repair, using LG's signed configuration pair without root.
Do not use either procedure for an ordinary black screen, transcode refusal, unsupported codec, or any failure code other than jail_missing_rtkmem.
Try the current release and photograph the failure screen. Include the support line, TV model, webOS platform release, app version, whether the media was Direct Play or a selected quality, and what happened after play. Report it in GitHub Issues.
If you shared an event log produced by v0.6.4 or earlier, review or remove that copy where appropriate: IPv6 addresses could remain visible. v0.6.5 redacts those addresses in newly written lines but cannot change existing files or copies.
