Modulix 0.7.0

Modulix 0.7.0 is the stable release of the 0.7.0-beta.2 code. Nothing in the plugin changed except the version; what changed is the testing.

Tested end to end on a test site with WooCommerce, in a browser and on the server: form submissions with email actions, stored submissions, validation and spam protection, file uploads (allowed and rejected types), the Login widget, popups (page-load and click triggers, conditions, closing), Custom Code (head, body start, body end, conditions), Global Widget, Loop Carousel, and WooCommerce from the single product template through add to cart, Menu Cart, Cart and Checkout to a placed order and My Account. 36 browser checks and 47 server checks pass.

Tested against Elementor Pro 4.0.4, page by page at desktop and mobile width and in the editor: every widget, the theme elements, Loop Item, Loop Grid, Taxonomy Filter and 21 real site pages; the output matches Pro.

Not yet tested end to end: form integrations with outside services, the submissions admin page and export, popup form actions, WooCommerce archive templates and kit settings, display conditions on elements, Custom Fonts and Custom Icons, Role Manager, page transitions and scroll snap. See ROADMAP.md.

Next stable release: 1.0.0 (the full Theme Builder app, the remaining dynamic tags, the ecosystem list and full readiness coverage).

Elementor 3.34 or newer (tested with 4.3.5), PHP 8.1+. Updating from 0.7.0-beta.x or 0.6: replace the plugin, then regenerate Elementor's CSS files and clear the page cache; templates and settings are not changed.

Modulix 0.7.0-beta.2

New in 0.7.0-beta.2:

• Elementor Pro's editor scripts. Nested elements, Mega Menu, Nested Carousel, Off-Canvas, Loop Filter, Share Buttons, WooCommerce widgets, Global Widget and forms now work in the editor as they do with Pro. No upgrade, licence or Connect screens.
• Widget pack. Animated Headline, Flip Box, Call to Action, Price Table, Price List, Countdown, Share Buttons, Blockquote, Table of Contents, Hotspot, Off-Canvas, Progress Tracker, Code Highlight, Slides, Video Playlist, Facebook Page/Button/Comments/Embed, Mega Menu, Lottie, Link in Bio, Search.
• Theme elements. Author Box, Breadcrumbs, Post Comments, Post Info, Post Navigation, Search Form, Sitemap.

• Forms, popups, WooCommerce, Custom Code and site-wide assets. Form and Login widgets with actions and submissions, popup templates with triggers, WooCommerce templates and widgets, Custom Code snippets, Custom Fonts, Custom Icons, Adobe Fonts, custom attributes, Role Manager, Element Manager, page transitions and scroll snap.

What is tested. Against Elementor Pro 4.0.4 on a test site, page by page at desktop and mobile width and in the editor: every widget above except Global Widget, the theme elements, Loop Item, Loop Grid, Taxonomy Filter and 21 real site pages. The output matches Pro. Not yet tested end to end: Global Widget, Loop Carousel, form submissions, form integrations and file uploads, WooCommerce cart, checkout and account pages, popup triggers and Custom Code. Try those on a staging copy before you rely on them and report problems in the step's issue (ROADMAP.md).

This is a beta. Elementor 4.3.5 (3.34 or newer), PHP 8.1+. Updating from 0.7.0-beta.1 or 0.6: replace the plugin, then regenerate Elementor's CSS files and clear the page cache; templates and settings are not changed. 0.7.0 follows once the remaining parts are tested.

Modulix 0.7.0-beta.1

New in 0.7.0-beta.1:

• Readiness check. Activate Modulix while Elementor Pro is still active. Modulix then runs only its check (Tools -> Modulix, or wp modulix check) and lists the Pro widgets, dynamic tags, template types and features your pages and templates use that Modulix does not cover yet, with links to those pages, plus the themes and plugins that call Elementor Pro classes or constants. Nothing is changed and nothing leaves the site. wp modulix check exits with 1 when something is missing, so it fits scripts.
• Compatibility layer. After the switch, themes and plugins that call ElementorPro\... classes get the matching Modulix classes, and ElementorPro\Plugin::instance()->modules_manager->get_modules() returns Modulix's modules. Names Modulix does not have stay undefined, so class_exists() checks keep working. ELEMENTOR_PRO_VERSION stays undefined.
• Roadmap and contributor guide. ROADMAP.md splits the rest of the work into small steps, one issue each; CONTRIBUTING.md says what "done" means.

This is a beta. Tested on a test site next to an active Elementor Pro and after switching: pages compared with 0.6.0 (markup, desktop and mobile layout, console and PHP errors) are unchanged, the editor loads without errors. Elementor 4.3.5, PHP 8.1+. Updating from 0.6: replace the plugin; templates and settings are not changed.

Custom Code and carousels follow in 0.7.0.

Modulix 0.6.0

New in 0.6.0:

• Posts widget (Classic, Cards and Full Content skins) and Portfolio widget
• Archive Posts widget for archive and search templates
• Theme Builder: archive and search results templates (all display conditions)
• Pagination (numbers, previous/next) and "load more" on click
• Query control in the editor: search posts, terms and authors when you pick what a widget shows
• Contact URL dynamic tag (email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Viber, Waze, calendar links)
• Author and user lookups in the editor return names only (and e-mail only for users who may see private data)

Tested against Elementor Pro on a test site with archive, category, date, tag, search and paginated pages (markup, desktop and mobile layout, states, console and PHP errors). Elementor 3.34.2 and 4.3.5, PHP 8.1+.

Modulix 0.5.0

New in 0.5.0:

• Theme Builder: single, single post, single page and 404 templates (all display conditions)

Modulix 0.4.1

First public release.

Modulix replaces the Elementor Pro features below. Existing Pro templates and widget settings keep working after
you deactivate Elementor Pro and activate Modulix.

• Theme Builder: header and footer templates with all display conditions, Site Logo widget
• Nav Menu widget (dropdown and mobile menu)
• Sticky, Motion Effects (scrolling and mouse), Custom CSS on elements and pages
• Floating Buttons (contact buttons and floating bars)
• Dynamic tags: Site Logo, Site URL
• No Pro upsells in the editor and admin

Tested with Elementor 3.34.2 and 4.3.5, PHP 8.1+. Runs in production since October 2026.
