Visio Companion v1.1.7 · October 11, 2026

Android app release. Update your device to firmware 1.1.7 before using features marked below. Firmware is delivered separately through the device update channel; this release contains the Android app only. iOS and HarmonyOS builds are awaiting store review.

New features

• Fix stereo calibration from Device Settings → Fix Stereo Calibration. Slowly look around a texture-rich room with the device; the app measures and corrects the rotation offset between the two cameras, and once it verifies an improvement you can apply and save it to the device in one tap. The page shows when the calibration was last updated (showing the date requires firmware 1.1.7).
• Attach problem recordings to issue reports and repair requests. Pick them from the device in the app; they are copied to your phone first, then uploaded (optional, up to 512 MiB per file).
• Follow up on repair requests: after submitting, add notes, photos, or self-test results, update your contact details and address, and see the full message history.
• Report issues directly from Settings → Support & After-sales, choosing a device or entering the serial number on the device label.

Improvements

• Live preview is now off by default; tap Show Live Preview to turn it on. Preview and cloud upload share the device's wireless bandwidth, so uploads are faster with preview off. Requires firmware 1.1.7.
• Issue reports and repair requests try to send over mobile data even while the phone is connected to the device hotspot. If sending fails, they are saved on the phone and retried automatically when the app opens. Required logs are sent first; optional recordings follow.
• Repair requests can continue even when device information cannot be looked up yet after scanning.
• Self-test no longer records video or audio; it only reads per-stream data counts and device logs.
• When the SD card is nearly full and the device refuses to start recording, the app explains why and suggests waiting for uploads to finish or deleting some recordings. Requires firmware 1.1.7.
• Recordings interrupted by power loss now show as "Saving…" instead of "Repairing".
• "Describe the problem" is now optional in repair requests (a short description is still required when you choose the "Other" symptom).
• Scan Settings changes only the settings included in the QR code and leaves everything else unchanged. Requires firmware 1.1.7.
• When recording to the phone, the app now tells you clearly on stop if writing to the phone failed.

Fixes

• Add Device never finding Bluetooth-enabled devices. The app now requests the Nearby Devices permission; if you decline, the page explains why, and you can grant it the next time you open it.
• Add Device's "Permission not enabled" notice staying visible after permission was granted, and doing nothing when tapped.
• After switching from the device hotspot to another Wi-Fi network in system settings, the app could not find the device on that network until it was restarted.
