First Windows build of iw4Strike: Counter-Strike gameplay on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 maps, built on IW4L.

⚠️ Early work in progress. Rounds, money, the buy menu and the bomb are not in yet.

What you need

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) on Steam
  • Counter-Strike: Source on Steam (weapon models, sounds and HUD are read from your install)

No game files are included.

How to play

  1. Download iw4Strike-windows.7z and extract it to a folder you can write to (for example Desktop or Documents, not Program Files).
  2. Run iw4l.exe. If SmartScreen warns you, click More info → Run anyway.
  3. MW2 and CS:S are found through Steam automatically. If not, see README.txt in the folder.
  4. Press **** (the key under Esc) to open the console. Try bot add 3, buy ak47andbuy vesthelm`.

What's in this build

  • CS:GO-style movement: bhop, air strafe, duck-jump, stamina, plus surf / Momentum bhop / CS 1.6 modes (mv_mode)
  • 100 Hz server tick
  • AK-47, M4A1, AWP, Desert Eagle, USP and Glock-18 with CS:S models and sounds and CS 1.6 damage, spread and recoil
  • AWP two-level scope, knife (slash, stab, backstab), HE, flashbang and smoke
  • Kevlar + helmet, drop (G) and pick up weapons
  • Counter-Strike: Source HUD and crosshair, MW2 minimap as radar
  • MW2 perks, killstreaks, XP, class menu and exploding cars turned off

Known issues

  • Other players see MW2 weapon models instead of the CS ones.
  • mv_mode isn't synced to other players yet, so everyone should use the same mode.
  • This build was made with the MinGW toolchain, not Microsoft's compiler like IW4L's official releases. If it crashes on start, please open an issue.
