The Real Fix for Valor Tracking

The Root Cause

Previous versions had login functions setting the baseline. But the currency API might not be ready at login time, returning 0. Then when the API became ready and CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE fired, the addon saw a "gain" from 0 → 370 and counted it as earned.

The Solution

  • New field lastTrackedValor that is ONLY set by TrackValorChange() (the currency update handler)
  • Login functions no longer touch the tracking baseline
  • First CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE sets the baseline and returns (doesn't count as earned)
  • Subsequent updates compare against the baseline and track actual gains

How It Works

Login → valor table created, lastTrackedValor = nil, earnedThisWeek = 0
  ↓
First CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE → lastTrackedValor = 370, return (no gain)
  ↓
You earn 50 valor in dungeon
  ↓
CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE → 420 > 370, earnedThisWeek += 50, lastTrackedValor = 420
  ↓
Shows: 50/1600

Installation

  1. Download WeekliesTracker-v2.0.5.zip
  2. Extract to Interface/AddOns/
  3. Reload WoW

Valor data will reset on upgrade. This time it should actually work!
