Weeklies Tracker v2.0.6
Complete Rewrite - Using Working Algorithm
The Problem
Previous versions tried to track valor "deltas" (changes) using currInfo.quantity (current balance). This was buggy because:
- API timing issues on login
- Spending valor would mess up tracking
- Complex baseline logic that kept breaking
The Solution
Looked at a working WeakAura (by Farsigt) and found they use a different API field:
currInfo.totalEarned= lifetime valor earned (NEVER decreases, even when you spend)
New Algorithm (same as WeakAura)
totalEarned = 5000 (lifetime)
weekStartTotal = 4800 (stored on first login this week)
earnedThisWeek = 5000 - 4800 = 200 ✓
Why This Works
totalEarnedonly goes UP when you earn valor- Spending doesn't affect it
- No delta tracking needed
- No timing issues
- Simple subtraction

Credit to Farsigt's "[Weekly VP earned]" WeakAura for the correct approach!
Weeklies Tracker v2.0.5
The Real Fix for Valor Tracking
The Root Cause
Previous versions had login functions setting the baseline. But the currency API might not be ready at login time, returning 0. Then when the API became ready and CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE fired, the addon saw a "gain" from 0 → 370 and counted it as earned.
The Solution
- New field
lastTrackedValorthat is ONLY set byTrackValorChange()(the currency update handler) - Login functions no longer touch the tracking baseline
- First
CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATEsets the baseline and returns (doesn't count as earned) - Subsequent updates compare against the baseline and track actual gains
How It Works
Login → valor table created, lastTrackedValor = nil, earnedThisWeek = 0
↓
First CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE → lastTrackedValor = 370, return (no gain)
↓
You earn 50 valor in dungeon
↓
CURRENCY_DISPLAY_UPDATE → 420 > 370, earnedThisWeek += 50, lastTrackedValor = 420
↓
Shows: 50/1600

Weeklies Tracker v2.0.4
Bug Fixes - Valor Tracking Finally Fixed
The Problem
Previous versions had TrackValorChange() trying to set baselines, which could race with UpdateCurrentCharacterValor() and cause earnedThisWeek to be set incorrectly.
The Fix
- Simplified architecture:
TrackValorChange()now ONLY tracks deltas (the difference when you earn valor) - Single responsibility: Only
UpdateCurrentCharacterValor()sets baselines - No more race conditions: Clear separation of concerns
How It Works Now
- On login → baseline is set (current valor recorded, earnedThisWeek = 0)
- During gameplay → when you earn valor, only the NEW amount is added to earnedThisWeek
- Weekly reset → earnedThisWeek resets to 0, baseline cleared
Example
- You log in with 500 valor → baseline = 500, earnedThisWeek = 0, shows "0/1600"
- You do a dungeon and earn 100 valor → earnedThisWeek = 100, shows "100/1600"
- You log out and back in → earnedThisWeek stays 100, shows "100/1600"

Weeklies Tracker v2.0.3
Bug Fixes
Valor Tracking Completely Fixed
- Complete data reset - Uses new migration flag to ensure ALL valor data is reset (v2.0.2 fix didn't run because it reused the old flag)
- 0/0 display fixed - Characters you haven't logged in with now show 0/1600 instead of 0/0
- Doubling fixed - earnedThisWeek no longer doubles on each login
- Proper initialization - New characters now initialize with all valor fields correctly set
Technical Details
- New migration flag
valorDataResetV203forces a complete valor reset for all characters - UI now handles
weeklyMax = 0as invalid (Lua treats 0 as truthy, so0 or 1600was returning 0) - Character creation and valor update functions now properly initialize all fields

Your valor data will be reset on first login - this is expected and necessary to fix the tracking.
Weeklies Tracker v2.0.2
Bug Fixes
Valor Tracking Baseline
- Fixed: New characters showing total valor as weekly earned (e.g., 370/1600 when they had 370 total but 0 earned this week)
- Fixed: Old characters retaining bad data from v2.0.0/v2.0.1 (e.g., 169000/0)
How It Works Now
- Added
baselineSetflag to properly track when a character's valor baseline is established - First login after upgrade resets all bad data and establishes fresh baselines
- Weekly earned valor now only counts valor gained while the addon is installed and tracking
- On weekly reset, baselines are cleared so they re-establish correctly
Installation

If upgrading from v2.0.0 or v2.0.1, your bad valor data will be automatically reset on first login.
