BetterMoving 1.14.0

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 07 Oct 06:48
  • Added Reset momentum, a one-shot action hotkey that clears the local player's X, Y, and Z velocity and ends an active Elytra glide. It works while walking, sprinting, falling, swimming, flying, using Riptide, or gliding.
  • Placed the action directly below Open configuration screen. It is unbound by default, activates on press in-game, and does not repeat while held. Advanced defaults require exactly the bound keys; users can enable Allow extra keys for use alongside movement keys.
  • Preserved player position, fall distance, other movement states, and normal gravity and input after the reset. The action affects only the local player and sends no dedicated packet.
  • Integrated glide stopping with local flight during ignored Levitation and the existing Cancel Elytra fireworks on glide stop setting, including default and custom firework lifetimes.
  • Added client compatibility regression coverage for press, hold, repeat, and release handling, movement states, input context, key sharing, settings persistence, remote-player isolation, glide stopping, and firework/Levitation integration. Updated the README and configuration translations.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 07 Oct 02:21
  • Added Custom Riptide charge time, a disabled-by-default, hotkey-capable option that replaces the vanilla 10-tick minimum charge while Simulate Riptide anywhere is enabled.
  • Added Riptide charge time (ticks), defaulting to 10 and accepting the full non-negative Java int range through Integer.MAX_VALUE. A value of 0 allows launching on immediate release.
  • Protected long simulated charges from integer overflow while preserving vanilla propulsion, ground lift, spin duration, packet suppression, and ordinary trident behavior.
  • Placed the charge-duration setting at the bottom of the configuration screen while keeping its toggle directly below Simulate Riptide anywhere.
  • Added client compatibility regression coverage for custom charge thresholds, both hands, Creative and Survival, toggle changes, integer limits, and remote-player isolation. Updated the README and configuration translations.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 07 Oct 01:46
  • Added Simulate Riptide anywhere, a disabled-by-default, hotkey-capable option for local Riptide trident use in any environment, including dry air and water.
  • Preserved vanilla charging, enchantment-dependent propulsion, ground lift, sound, and spinning without sending item-use or release-use packets or consuming trident durability.
  • Preserved vanilla throwing for tridents without Riptide, accepted block and entity interactions, and compatibility with both fluid movement models.
  • Added client compatibility regression coverage for charging, spin poses and lifetime, packet suppression, cancellation, incoming server status updates, and remote-player isolation. Updated the README and configuration translations.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 06 Oct 13:31
  • Raised Simulated speed potion level, Simulated jump boost level, and Simulated dolphin's grace level limits to the full non-negative Java int range through Integer.MAX_VALUE.
  • Updated English and Chinese configuration descriptions and the README for the new level limits and release artifacts.
  • Added compatibility regression checks for all three configuration limits.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 05 Oct 11:40
  • Added Cancel Elytra fireworks on glide stop for immediate cleanup of client-simulated rockets when Elytra gliding ends.
  • Fixed stale client-simulated Elytra fireworks surviving glide state transitions and accelerating a later glide.
  • Cancellation now handles both direct flag changes and tracked entity-data updates, independently of custom firework lifetime.
  • Added regression coverage and updated the README.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 05 Oct 09:58
  • Moved the Open configuration screen option to the top of the MaLiLib configuration screen.
  • Updated Flight 1, 2, and 3 custom Elytra firework lifetime fields to accept the full non-negative Java int range through Integer.MAX_VALUE ticks.
  • Updated the README, translations, and compatibility regression coverage for the new configuration layout and limits.

This is a client-side Fabric mod release for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the included source JAR and the repository README for configuration and compatibility details.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 04 Oct 04:40
  • Added the client-only Simulate Elytra firework target speed MaLiLib toggle. It is disabled and unbound by default.
  • Added the Simulated Elytra firework target speed (m/s) double parameter, with a default of 64 and a range from 0 through Double.MAX_VALUE.
  • While enabled during local Elytra gliding, firework propulsion converges toward the configured target speed using v_t = V / 20 meters per tick.
  • The target-speed override applies to local infinite-firework and Elytra block-use boosts while disabled behavior remains vanilla.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 04 Oct 03:06
  • Add the client-only Void protection platform MaLiLib toggle. It is disabled and unbound by default.
  • Place an invisible movement-only floor at each world's void damage boundary (getBottomY() - 64), preventing the local player from falling into the void without creating blocks or affecting rendering, interaction targets, or other entities.
  • Resolve the boundary independently for each player and world, keep it separate from Virtual platform, and include configuration persistence and compatibility regression coverage.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 02 Oct 16:03
  • Fix interrupted Elytra activation and gliding with Ignore levitation and slowness enabled while the player has real Levitation. Vanilla servers reject this flight and synchronize a cleared gliding flag; BetterMoving now retains the local flight session without modifying incoming metadata or server state.
  • Preserve ordinary flight behavior and support Levitation received during an existing glide. The local override ends on landing, riding, creative flight, climbing, death, water movement, missing or unusable Elytra, explicit stops, disconnecting, disabling the option, or effect removal.
  • Keep Air-rule fluid movement and local infinite-firework acceleration compatible. Other players and the actual status effect remain unchanged.

@Xuan-Ming-mc Xuan-Ming-mc released this 02 Oct 15:02
  • Fix Block non-Elytra firework use intercepting actions that do not launch a firework. Workbenches, chests, barrels, levers, and entity interactions now retain their normal behavior while holding rockets.
  • Suppress only the item-use fallback that would launch a rocket from a block or wall. Blocked launches send no interaction packet, consume no rocket, create no entity, and do not swing the hand.
  • Preserve vanilla block prediction cleanup, including when a launch is blocked.
  • Keep both ordinary and infinite Elytra firework acceleration compatible with the suppression toggle.
