Week 5:

Securing SSH

  1. Make an ssh user
  2. Setup a password for the user
  3. use vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config
  4. change PermitRootLogin from "yes" to "no"
  5. add a line that reads "AllowUsers", followed by the username you want to use
  6. restart ssh using "sudo systemctl restart sshd"
  7. login using ssh user username
