Firmware updates independent of the desktop app

  • LayerShot now reads the latest firmware catalogue directly from GitHub. New ESP32 firmware can be detected and installed without updating the Mac/PC application.
  • The ESP32 page warns when installed firmware is obsolete and shows installed and available versions.
  • Quick installation always selects the latest firmware automatically, with the bundled firmware as an offline fallback.
  • An optional advanced checkbox reveals older official firmware versions for troubleshooting.

ESP32 panel improvements

  • Shows the saved printer name together with its IP address and port.
  • Periodic refresh is now silent: the connection label no longer flashes between Connected and Connecting.

Includes macOS Apple Silicon and a combined Windows 32-bit/64-bit installer. The applications are not yet signed with Apple or Microsoft developer certificates, so an operating-system warning may appear.
