Manual MCU Firmware Switching

This hub links the verified workflow for inspecting Photonicat 2 PMU/MCU tooling, finding wrapped MCU firmware files, validating them, and flashing them with the upstream updater.

Use the workflow pages in order:

  1. pcat-manager-web IPK Inspection
  2. OpenWrt Image Inspection
  3. Vendor OpenWrt MCU Version Check
  4. Install pcat-pmu-updater
  5. Check and Download MCU Firmware
  6. Flash MCU Firmware

Public sources used by this workflow:

  • Photonicat firmware root: https://dl.photonicat.com/firmware/
  • Photonicat MCU firmware directory: https://dl.photonicat.com/firmware/pcat2_mcu/
  • Photonicat MCU production manifest: https://dl.photonicat.com/firmware/pcat2_mcu/latest_img.json
  • Photonicat MCU older-version index: https://dl.photonicat.com/firmware/pcat2_mcu/versions.json
  • Photonicat fixed MCU image URL: https://dl.photonicat.com/firmware/pcat2_mcu/ota.bin (tracks the current manifest target; not a rollback image)
  • Photonicat 2 package manifest: https://dl.photonicat.com/repos/photonicatwrt/photonicat2/packages-volatile.txt
  • Photonicat 2 OpenWrt images: https://dl.photonicat.com/images/photonicat2/openwrt/
  • Upstream manager/updater source: https://github.com/photonicat/rockchip_rk3568_pcat_manager

Do not flash a file unless it is a wrapped ARBDPHC2 firmware package, validates locally, and is the intended target for the device.
