PyP6 v5.2.2
PyP6 5.2.2 changes how releases are numbered and built. The app itself works exactly as in 5.2.1.
What's different
- The version shown in the title bar and in Settings → About now comes straight from the release tag, so it can no longer disagree with the download you picked.
- Running from source, the script is now simply
PyP6-Roland-P6-Sample-Manager.py, without a version in its name. From a git checkout, About shows the nearest release plus the commits since, e.g.5.2.2-3-gabc1234.
Everything else in 5.2 is unchanged: see the 5.2.0 notes for the pattern preview and the 5.2.1 notes for the live-recorded pattern fix.
Upgrading
Nothing changes in presets or pattern files: everything saved by 5.2.1 loads in 5.2.2 as before.

First launch:
- Windows: SmartScreen may warn about an unsigned app. Choose "Run anyway".
- macOS: the app is not signed with an Apple certificate. Right-click it, choose Open, then Open again (on macOS 15 and later, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security).
- Linux: audio playback needs PortAudio from your distribution, e.g.
sudo apt install libportaudio2.
