Animations are actually a single image with multiple frames on it, looking like this:
By defining how many frames there are in X and Y, and how fast the frames should be skipped through, you get a Animation. And that's what you do inside the Animations-Tab.
Check your settings
This tab has the unique feature of previewing your settings. Open a image via Load Picture and it will be displayed in the Picture area on the right. Enter the number of frames in X and Y and press Update Grid to see if the grid is correctly in between the frames.
Add an Animation
Once the grid seems fine, select the Object you want the Animation assign to from the Objects list, put the name of the imagefile into Picture, name the Animation with Name, give it a Speed-Value and click Add Animation_.
Play the Animation as a test
After you assigned the Animation, you can select it and click Preview at the bottom. If the Object the Animation belongs to is Visible, you should be able to see it in the Game Window looping the animation endlessly. Click Stop Preview to stop the loop and make the sprite of the Object go back to what it was before.
To play Animations during normal gameplay, use Script Commands! See here for more: Commands Page.
Delete an Animation
Double-Click on an Animation in the Animations list to delete it.
