Test kernel for #253 (Echo Show 8 2nd gen: the backlight stops following brightness changes). Not a release: devices never pick it up by themselves.

TECHO5's athena kernel from main ceb1382 (v1.6.2's, including the #187 panel fix), with two changes for the backlight:

  • At brightness 0 the display PWM keeps running at 0% instead of being switched off. After it was switched fully off and on, brightness stopped following until a restart.
  • At full brightness the PWM's on-time no longer runs one count past its period.

Install steps are in #253. The kernel source, with the configuration this image was built with, is attached as the GPL asks.
