🚀 What's New:

• StarGate: star not recognised: The repository was renamed and the check still looked for the old name, so people who had already starred it were blocked. The star is now matched by the repository ID, which does not change with the name, and GitHub redirects are followed only when safe.
• Clearer verification errors: A network error or an inconclusive public check is no longer mistaken for a missing star, and diagnostic details you can report now appear, with no token or response content. The public check now reads up to 100 pages of stars instead of 3.

RetoldShield is under active and continuous development. While it eliminates the vast majority of preroll and midroll ads at native 1080p60 Source resolution without buffering, Twitch frequently updates its delivery infrastructure and a few ads may still occasionally slip through. Continuous engine updates and refinements are being deployed regularly.

🚀 Installation & Getting Started

🪟 Windows:

1. Download Twitch-Retold-Setup-2.8.1.exe from the assets below.
2. Run the installer. If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears, click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

🍎 macOS:

1. Download the correct file for your Mac's processor (Apple menu → About This Mac shows Chip or Processor):
   • Apple Silicon (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4): Twitch-Retold-2.8.1-arm64.dmg
   • Intel: Twitch-Retold-2.8.1.dmg
2. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Twitch Retold into your Applications folder.

🐧 Linux:

1. AppImage (Universal): download Twitch-Retold-2.8.1.AppImage, make it executable (chmod +x Twitch-Retold-*.AppImage) and launch it.
2. Debian / Ubuntu / Mint: download twitch-retold_2.8.1_amd64.deb and run sudo dpkg -i twitch-retold_*_amd64.deb.
