Tutorials First Camera Simulation
These three tutorials take you from a single overview script to the full set of controls in an end-to-end camera simulation. See Tutorials for the complete topic index and Getting Started for a five-line first run.
-
t_introduction2ISET (source) A complete first tour of the pipeline: create a scene, compute the optical image, capture it with a sensor, and process it into a displayed image, including attaching calibrated camera color filters.
-
t_cameraIntroduction (source) Introduces the combined
cameraobject, which bundles the optics, sensor, and image processor so a full simulation can run with fewer calls, and compares it against working with the individual objects. -
t_SystemSimulate (source) A comprehensive end-to-end simulation that configures every stage explicitly: pixel geometry and noise, sensor size, and image-processing color balance.
See also Programming Examples for annotated code walkthroughs of the first two scripts above.
ISETcam development is led by Brian Wandell's Vistalab group at Stanford University and supported by contributors from other research institutions and industry.
