• Fix: after Bluetooth reconnect (Windows makes BT the default), laptop speakers keep playing without Stop/Start
• More reliable hotplug routing (work runs off the COM notification thread)
• Prefer side-by-side WaveSyncEngine.dll — do not overwrite with a stale embedded copy

Bump that file first, then build and tag — everything else reads from it.

Release checklist

1. Update VERSION (semver: MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH)
2. Sync visible strings if needed (About box is fine to leave for next publish — installer/csproj read VERSION)
3. Build:

   .\scripts\build_installer.ps1

4. Commit, tag, push:

   git add -A

5. Publish GitHub Release (optional but recommended):
