Trophies

16 bronze, 22 silver, 14 gold, and a platinum for the other 52.
X filters to what is earned or what is left.

  • Nothing is scored or kept. Each one is a question asked of your collection, your puzzles and your wallet as the screen draws, so a restored backup simply describes what you restored.
  • Only the date each was first earned is written down, in profile.json. Lose it and you lose a date, never a trophy, and a trophy that has a date keeps it, so adding trophies later cannot cost anybody their platinum.
  • They pay nothing on purpose: a payout would need a record of having paid, and that record would have to be trusted.

The Mii race

In a new games tab.

Three of the people you have crossed against your own Mii, with a countdown, a parallax run and a finish line.
On a console that has met nobody the other three are strangers with seeded faces.

  • Nobody is faster than anybody: each runner's finishing time is drawn before the countdown ends, 9 to 14 seconds, so the result is properly random and a race can never run past 18 seconds.
  • Race for free, put a coin on your own Mii for 3 back (one runner in four), or call first and second in order for 11 back (one ordering in twelve). Both keep a house edge, so the races spend coins rather than make them.
  • Predicting has its own screen, and can be watched for nothing: the free-or-a-coin choice comes after you have named the two runners. The result says what you called next to what happened.
  • Three trophies come off the races: a bet won, fifty coins won, two hundred.

Updates

wallet.dat is version 2: winnings are a third total, kept apart from the daily ten because the trophies read the grant as a count of days opened.
A version 1 file still reads and is rewritten on the next save, so nobody loses a coin to the upgrade.

Fixed

  • Star a card while you are reading it: the middle button on an opened pass replaces "Keep the pass", which only closed the card.
  • The hint strip started where the navigation rail ends, so every screen that hides the rail (an opened pass, the Mii maker, first run, the race) showed a 112px notch of itself through the left end of the strip. It now reaches the edge when there is no rail to make room for.
  • + no longer quits mid-race, which would have thrown away a coin already staked.
