This PR is here to track the progress towards completing project 8.
The branch is named after the 1989 action film Commando, starring the very bad ass Austrian actor Mr. Schwarzenegger himself. Much like the protagonist's daughter Jenny, our command system has been kidnapped by a band of thugs. Unlike in the movie, however, our thugs consist of technical debt and spaghetti code.
The project aims to resolve those issues by both improving our scheduling and synchronization toolset, and UUID system, while migrating to a more sane command framework (ACF).
