Extra credit assignment no. 2

We're going to be talking about mapping and new Google tools for visualizing geographic data in class the week of April 25. What are some of your favorite examples of using maps or data visualizations that include geography?

We'd like for you to describe (and link to, of course) a journalism project that incorporates maps to tell a story. Write a brief blog post on Medium or, if you don't want it to be public, a private Gist on Github about that topic. Please include why you find the mapping project to be useful, what value the geographic data adds, and illustrate your post with screenshots. Send the link to Rob and Elizabeth via Slack and receive up to 20 extra credit points.
