v1.23.1 — Recent emotes and richer YouTube chat
What's new
- Recent emote bar: reuse recently sent Twitch and Kick emotes above the message box. Each platform has its own list, remembered on this device. Hide the bar in settings if preferred. (#67)
- YouTube sending: the YouTube destination turns on when its signed-in composer is ready. Check the account shown; you can turn the destination off. (#68)
- YouTube replies: click a chatter's name or select an @mention to prepare a reply addressed only to YouTube.
- Richer YouTube messages: received emotes, links, mention highlights, Super Chats, supported Super Stickers and membership/gift notices. Badges use available native images; missing or failed images are omitted, with no MEMBER/MOD text replacements.
- YouTube chat tools: show/hide its feed, right-click authors for local recent messages, and open the current video's native chat for remaining YouTube controls.
- Copy message: right-click a message on any platform to copy just its body, with emote names, without usernames, timestamps or badges. Useful for raid messages.
Downloads
- Chrome: download
FriendlyChatExtension-v1.23.1.zip, extract it and update/load the extension folder through Chrome's extension page. - Firefox: install
FriendlyChatExtension-v1.23.1-firefox.xpi. Existing signed installs use the included update feed. - The
firefox-unsigned.xpiis for temporary development loading, not normal installation.
YouTube availability depends on its embedded chat and your browser's sign-in/cookie rules. Replies are plain-text mentions. Moderation, polls, purchases and native emote selection still use YouTube's own interface. Emotes or badge images on unsupported URLs may be omitted or use the documented text fallback for emotes.
Validation: 3,365 local checks passed; 100% changed-JavaScript coverage. Isolated Chrome and simulated Firefox browser checks passed. Native Firefox and live-service behavior were not newly verified. Chrome Web Store submission is separate from this GitHub release.
