From here on Kip can update itself: the in-app "a newer Kip is available" banner gets an Update button (Windows installer + AppImage). The portable tar.gz updates by hand.
Windows SmartScreen: the binary is signed but the certificate is self-issued, so SmartScreen still shows unknown publisher — More info → Run anyway.
Linux/Wayland: ./kip --ozone-platform-hint=auto.
- Fixed unreadable text in the slide view. "View as slides" text was
rendering as dark, low-contrast text against a mismatched background under
Kip's own theming. The slide deck now always uses a plain white background
with black text.
