@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 04 Oct 04:55

Fixes

  • Keep a newly prepared merge distinct from a completed no-op proposal receipt, retaining both merge parents and idempotent retries after restart (#57).
  • Safely retire superseded owned clean integration checkouts when landed contents and included parents are proven. Preserve recoverable commit references and interrupted-removal evidence; retain changed or uncertain resources (#58).
  • Isolate test runtime homes and child processes from the real installation, including interrupted tests and failed fixture setup. Preserve real update protection (#59).

Compatibility

State/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols are unchanged. No data migration is required.

Install or update

Download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then install with uv tool install /absolute/path/todo_flow-0.1.1-py3-none-any.whl. Existing uv tool installations can plan an update with todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/path/todo_flow-0.1.1-py3-none-any.whl --dry-run; stop relevant drivers and dashboards before applying it.

Validation

The integrated runtime changes passed 782 Python tests, 29 dashboard tests, lint, formatting and package build, with independent review and post-landing triage. The release-only changes passed document checks, archive-content checks and clean wheel installation of both CLIs. Release-commit CI checks lint, formatting, build and clean installation without rerunning the unchanged runtime suite.

TODO Flow 0.1.0

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 03 Oct 16:04
  • Provide English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese dashboard labels and core guides, with project-isolated language preferences and preserved navigation, drafts and authored content.
  • Add persistent light/dark theme selection and readable dashboard surfaces without rewriting authored documents.
  • Show each worker attempt's selected and confirmed model/reasoning effort, distinguishing delegation, missing records and unreadable evidence.
  • Support role-based worker profiles and mixed, Codex-only and Claude-only routing with durable selection provenance.
  • Separate inconclusive verification from declared implementation failure so environment/check failures do not automatically request speculative code changes.
  • Give independent reviewers explicit source provenance and distinguish confirmed facts from implementer claims. Add public examples and offline quality cases based on independently specified expectations and counterexamples.
  • Preserve existing Claude/Codex skill installations, project bindings and local edits during coexistence-aware installation and updates.
  • Defer follow-up claims until the previous execution releases its track lock; retain execution ownership checks and deterministic handoff/cancellation regressions.
  • Document how to reuse confirmed feedback with its source, scope, counterexample and regression evidence without expanding authorized work.
  • Keep state/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols unchanged. No data migration is required.

Known recovery limits: historical identical no-op proposal journals and superseded synthetic integration commits outside the landed ancestry can still require evidence-preserving manual recovery.

Install:

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.1.0/todo_flow-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl

For an existing installation, download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, and run todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/path/to/todo_flow-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl. Update project skills while idle. State/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols are unchanged; existing project configuration is preserved.

Validation: the final landed runtime passed 752 Python tests, 29 dashboard tests, lint, formatting and build, followed by independent review and post-landing triage. This version/documentation-only release passed lint, formatting, all core-guide translation/source/link checks, source-distribution inspection, byte-for-byte comparison of all 87 bundled runtime/skill source files, clean wheel installation, both CLI version commands, bundled skill installation and compatibility inspection of existing state. The release commit uses the repository's version-only packaging CI; it does not claim a repeated full runtime suite or a new cross-platform matrix.

TODO Flow v0.0.9

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 01 Oct 09:03
  • Run explicitly configured preflight checks before the full verifier, stopping on the first failure and retaining each command's original logs.
  • Support related checks for intermediate changes while requiring full verification for publication, independent review, landing and completion. Bind verification scope and the ordered policy to candidate identity and cache eligibility.
  • Validate supplied machine evidence against the condition ID, document revision, candidate HEAD, verification execution and original artifact digest. Preserve prose-only evidence and keep artifact integrity separate from semantic condition satisfaction.
  • Record worker termination and proposal parsing/validation separately, retain original failure evidence and expose read-only inspection through todo-flow worker-stop.
  • Support explicit request-scoped worker attempt limits with durable usage, decision waits and authorized increments; restarting a driver does not reset the limit.
  • Reclaim obsolete failed integration checkouts after confirmed repair, preserving original evidence, ownership checks and later user changes. Require cleanup of run-owned resources before reporting trackrun completion.
  • Clarify disabled dashboard selection states and resuming paused work in the English and Korean guides.
  • Keep state/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols unchanged.

Install:

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.9/todo_flow-0.0.9-py3-none-any.whl

Download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify its checksum, then update an existing installation with todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/path/to/todo_flow-0.0.9-py3-none-any.whl. Update project skills while the project is idle. Existing project configuration is preserved; preflight and related checks remain opt-in settings for new state.

Validation: the final landed runtime passed 687 Python tests, 16 dashboard JavaScript tests, lint, formatting, JavaScript syntax checks and package build, followed by independent review and post-landing triage. The version-only release passed package-content and source-byte inspection, clean wheel installation, both CLI version commands, bundled skill installation and existing configuration compatibility.

TODO Flow v0.0.8

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 29 Sep 16:38
  • Group Activity by track with current work, assignment and decision waits, recent verification results, and bounded task details. Preserve full instructions, evidence links and selection across Korean/English switching and reloads; mark stale or disconnected observations as needing confirmation.
  • Merge clearly identical pending assess/work obligations only for the same track, candidate, document revision, task kind and exact purpose. Preserve each parent request atomically, including interrupted writes and cache reconstruction; completed tasks are not reused as new fulfillment evidence.
  • Support bounded replace-v1 text proposals with exact base/file checks and durable application recovery, while preserving unrelated edits and legacy whole-file proposals.
  • Retain original verification stdout/stderr as separate artifacts with bounded reads and explicit missing, partial and completed states. Keep log evidence available through recovery and dashboard detail views.
  • Keep state/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols unchanged.

Install:

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.8/todo_flow-0.0.8-py3-none-any.whl

Download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify its checksum, then update an existing installation with todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/path/to/todo_flow-0.0.8-py3-none-any.whl. Update project skills while the project is idle.

Validation: the final landed tree passed 630 Python tests, 16 dashboard JavaScript tests, lint, formatting, JavaScript syntax checks and package build. Both selected tracks passed independent review and post-landing triage. Synthetic browser checks covered 1280px and 390px layouts, keyboard detail navigation, preserved authored text, language/reload selection and disconnected observations. The version-only release passed package-content inspection, clean wheel installation, both CLI version commands and existing-state compatibility.

TODO Flow v0.0.7

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 28 Sep 02:58
  • Remove the default 600-second worker deadline across native and compatibility workers and their supervisors. Explicit project limits remain supported; JSON null selects unlimited execution.
  • Register native worker activity in the owning Orca worktree's sidebar through a host-side status bridge. Verify the actual pane projection and retain its receipt without enabling model hooks or treating UI state as completion evidence.
  • Check native worker claims while waiting, retire unchanged viewers after confirmed cancellation cleanup, and expose concrete native failure diagnostics.
  • Avoid filesystem and Git checks for each streamed output fragment; fence complete native proposals before adoption. Periodically reconcile full history on the same connection so a missing completion notification cannot leave a finished worker waiting indefinitely. Preserve partial WebSocket frames across idle polls.
  • Cancel active native, headless and verification work through owned process supervision, preserving cancellation evidence across recovery.
  • Reclaim unchanged verifier-generated artifacts and remove confirmed landed, owned Git/Orca worktrees. Consume native viewer retirement and attributed supervisor exit evidence, while preserving uncertain or reused resources.
  • Keep agent work within the user-requested scope, report additional work separately, reuse sufficient verification evidence and retain automatic cleanup unless the user explicitly requests resource preservation.

State/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols are unchanged. Existing explicit worker time limits remain supported.

Install:

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.7/todo_flow-0.0.7-py3-none-any.whl

Download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then update an existing installation with todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/path/to/todo_flow-0.0.7-py3-none-any.whl. Update project skills while the project is idle.

Validation: existing code CI passed on commit 6ac7e50; this version-only release was checked with lint, formatting, package-content inspection, a clean wheel installation, both CLI version commands and existing-state compatibility. No state migration or live external-model acceptance test is claimed.

Release packaging CI: https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/actions/runs/36371800166 (passed).

TODO Flow v0.0.6

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 27 Sep 15:23

TODO Flow v0.0.6 removes unnecessary restrictions that could block native workers and makes version-only release checks faster.

  • Native workers reuse the existing Codex login without an exact CLI version allowlist or credential-file restrictions.
  • Terminal counts and historical launch records no longer block new workers. Old ledgers and execution evidence remain preserved; --jobs still controls task concurrency.
  • Completed native proposals survive deferred viewer cleanup. Process termination, exact session/HEAD checks and protection of user-owned terminals remain in place.
  • Remove the unused intermediate headless supervisor and obsolete capacity tests.
  • CI uses one Linux/Python 3.11 job for ordinary code changes. Version-only changes run lint, build and clean installation checks; the four-environment Linux/macOS × Python matrix is available through manual dispatch. Dependency and updater changes retain their relevant checks.

State/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols are unchanged. Update project skills using the update guide.

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.6/todo_flow-0.0.6-py3-none-any.whl

For an existing uv-tool installation, stop drivers and dashboards normally, download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then use todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.6-py3-none-any.whl.

The wheel, source distribution and SHA-256 checksums are attached. Native/Orca regression coverage uses local and synthetic fixtures; no live model acceptance run was performed for this release.

Validation: release commit CI passed all 495 Python tests, 12 dashboard localization tests, lint/format checks, wheel installation and the isolated upgrade/rollback smoke test.

TODO Flow v0.0.5

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 27 Sep 12:44

TODO Flow v0.0.5 adds declared verification-input identity, durable process cleanup, bounded worker-terminal lifecycle and supported native Orca/Codex sessions.

Changes

  • Verification inputs: init --verify-identity declares files, selected environment names and a nonce. Changed or unavailable inputs invalidate cached success; legacy evidence requires fresh verification. Existing configuration is preserved.
  • Process and terminal lifecycle: preserve ownership and exit evidence, account for terminal capacity, retire checked idle Orca/tmux terminals, and retain uncertain resources for inspection before replacement.
  • Native Orca sessions: use owned managed workspaces and isolated Codex App Server sessions with exact thread/turn associations and fresh review provenance. CLI launch status and the dashboard expose the actual execution mode and compatibility reason.
  • Scope guidance: planning, work, review and starter templates tie required conditions to the selected outcome and affected invariants, preserve user tradeoffs and keep optional improvements separate.

Install and update

Requires Python 3.11+, uv, Git and ripgrep. Workers need an authenticated Claude or Codex CLI; GitHub integration needs authenticated gh.

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.5/todo_flow-0.0.5-py3-none-any.whl
todo-flow --version

For an existing uv-tool installation, stop drivers and dashboards normally, download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then run:

todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.5-py3-none-any.whl --dry-run
todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.5-py3-none-any.whl

Follow the update guide to update each project's installed skills. State/configuration formats and worker/skill protocols are unchanged. init --verify-identity applies to new state; an upgrade does not rewrite existing project configuration.

Compatibility and validation

Native sessions currently recognize Codex CLI 0.157.1. Existing checkouts, unverified versions, unsupported authentication storage and missing review provenance retain an explicitly reported compatibility route. The new native route has local synthetic protocol/process coverage; real-model/external live acceptance has not been performed. See operations.

  • 524 Python tests and 12 dashboard localization/behavior tests passed locally; Python lint/format and JavaScript syntax checks passed.
  • Clean wheel installation verified both CLI versions, bundled skill templates, dashboard translations and the license. The source distribution matches the release checkout and excludes local state and design documents.
  • Published 0.0.4 → 0.0.5 engine upgrade, skill update/rollback and engine rollback passed in an isolated installation; canonical state, queued work and language bindings were preserved.
  • Synthetic future-version tests passed active-dashboard exclusion, failed-update rollback and recovery with the CLI missing.
  • Release CI passed all four Linux/macOS × Python 3.11/3.13 jobs, including Python tests, dashboard checks, builds and isolated update/recovery checks.

The wheel, source distribution and SHA256SUMS are attached. Synthetic future-version wheels used by update tests are excluded. Distribution is through GitHub Releases. See the changelog.

TODO Flow v0.0.4

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 24 Sep 17:11

TODO Flow v0.0.4 fixes three host execution boundaries while retaining read-only workers and JSON change proposals.

Fixed

  • Proposal commits: commit only proposed paths during ordinary work. Preserve unrelated staged/unstaged changes and refuse to overwrite existing edits on a proposed path. Integration repairs check a durable checkout/index checkpoint and record the adopted merge tree before commit.
  • Verification and review: require a clean checkout at the exact candidate HEAD before using verification evidence, before/after the review worker, when recording its verdict, and at publication/landing gates. A verification command that changes HEAD cannot pass; a new HEAD with the same tree needs current evidence.
  • Verification processes: start verification in its own process group. On timeout, terminate the group, escalate if needed and confirm no live members remain before returning. Children that survive their parent or ignore termination cannot keep writing after the check. A successful parent leaving background processes also fails verification. Unconfirmed cleanup stops for attention instead of scheduling further work.

Install

Requires Python 3.11+, uv, Git and ripgrep. Workers need an authenticated Claude or Codex CLI; GitHub integration needs authenticated gh.

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.4/todo_flow-0.0.4-py3-none-any.whl
todo-flow --version

Update from 0.0.3

Stop drivers and dashboards normally. Download the wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then update the existing uv-tool installation:

todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.4-py3-none-any.whl --dry-run
todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.4-py3-none-any.whl

Follow the update guide for per-project skill checks. Formats and worker protocols are unchanged; no state migration is required. Existing manual checkout changes are preserved and can require a recovery decision. A previously interrupted merge without the new checkpoint is preserved for inspection rather than silently adopted.

Validation

  • Release CI: Linux/macOS with Python 3.11 and 3.13, including Python tests, dashboard localization, builds and isolated update/recovery checks.
  • 123 Python tests passed locally, including 11 execution-boundary tests and 11 integration-repair tests. The reported defects were reproduced against 0.0.3 with local Git repositories and real subprocesses, without model calls or remote publication.
  • Published 0.0.3 → 0.0.4 engine upgrade, skill manifest update/rollback and engine rollback verified in an isolated installation. Canonical state, pending work and language bindings were unchanged.

Read-only investigation, host-applied JSON proposals, file-based handoffs, independent review and triage remain the workflow. See execution boundaries and the changelog.

The wheel, source distribution and SHA256SUMS are attached. This release is distributed through GitHub Releases.

TODO Flow v0.0.3

Choose a tag to compare

@JakeB-5 JakeB-5 released this 24 Sep 15:47

TODO Flow v0.0.3 fixes the handoff from failed integration to repair, verification and independent review.

Fixed

  • Fetch and pin the current base, then merge it into the owned candidate checkout before starting a repair worker.
  • Provide the base diff, conflict markers and readable ancestor/candidate/base versions through evidence paths. Workers inspect the actual merged checkout with their existing read-only tools.
  • Commit the resolved merge with both parents, re-verify and publish the candidate, and require a fresh independent review before retrying landing.
  • Resume recorded merges after interruption or a decision answer, including a merge commit completed before its state update.
  • Distinguish Git execution errors from actual unmerged conflicts. Combined-verification failures now return work on the merged tree.
  • Preserve dirty checkouts and reject incomplete resolutions, remaining conflict markers, or changed HEAD/merge state.

Install

Requires Python 3.11+, uv, Git and ripgrep. Workers need an authenticated Claude or Codex CLI; GitHub integration needs authenticated gh.

uv tool install https://github.com/JakeB-5/todo-flow/releases/download/v0.0.3/todo_flow-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl
todo-flow --version

Update from 0.0.2

Stop drivers and dashboards normally. Download the attached wheel and SHA256SUMS, verify the checksum, then update the existing uv-tool installation:

todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl --dry-run
todo-flow upgrade --wheel /absolute/downloads/todo_flow-0.0.3-py3-none-any.whl

Check installed project skills with the update guide. Repair instructions ship with the engine. State/configuration/skill formats remain at 1; new projects still use worker protocol 2. No state migration is required.

Validation

  • Release commit CI: Linux/macOS with Python 3.11 and 3.13, including Python tests, dashboard localization, package builds and isolated update/recovery checks.
  • 111 Python tests, including 10 local Git conflict/recovery regressions. Deterministic workers read real checkout and evidence files; this release does not claim a new live-model conflict-resolution run.
  • Published 0.0.2 → 0.0.3 upgrade, skill manifest update/rollback and engine rollback verified in an isolated installation. Canonical state, pending work and language bindings were preserved.

Review remains the default endpoint; landing requires explicit authorization. Binary/deletion conflict resolutions remain outside the proposal format and require attention. See repair behavior and the changelog.

The wheel, source distribution and SHA256SUMS are attached. This release is distributed through GitHub Releases.
