GPSQR 1.2.1
What's new in 1.2.1
- The 480×320 layout is now measured on real hardware — a RadioMaster TX15 running EdgeTX 2.12.2, thanks to @pdejan. That panel's font ladder turns out to match the 480×272 radios exactly, which is what this release spends: the stat card values, the coordinates and the no-fix placeholder are all a size larger, and the card padding was refitted around them. The extra 48 px of height used to go to padding; it now goes to the numbers.
800×480 and 480×272 are unchanged. Nothing else in the widget changed.
GPSQR 1.2.0
What's new in 1.2.0
- ArduPilot support, contributed by Keith Luneau (@keithluneau). Arm state, flight mode and MSL altitude now work on ArduPilot alongside Betaflight and iNAV, with the firmware autodetected from the mode string. One setting is worth enabling on your FC:
RC_OPTIONSbit 12 (CRSF_FM_DISARM_STAR), without which ArduPilot never marks disarmed. - New mode pill. The header now shows the flight controller's own mode string, verbatim — blue normally, amber for a self-commanded return or
!ERR, red for!FS!, gray when the link drops. - The ELRS strip's
MODEcell is nowRATE. It always showed the packet rate; "mode" now means the flight mode. - The QR code rebuilds on movement, not on a timer. A new code appears as soon as the position has actually changed, instead of after a fixed interval.
- Added the RadioMaster GX15 to the 480×320 radio list (still untested on hardware).
Fixed
MAX ALTITUDEcould end a flight showing the field elevation instead of the height flown.
GPSQR 1.0.0
Full-screen GPS and ELRS telemetry for EdgeTX color radios, with a scannable
Google-Maps QR code of your model's last known position.
Lost a quad in a field? Point your phone at the radio.
What you get
- A QR code that walks you to your model — scan it with any phone and Google
Maps opens at the last position your model reported. It stays on screen when
telemetry dies, so a crash still leaves you a code to follow. - Distance to home, trip, height above take-off (with MSL), speed, heading and
satellites — home captured automatically at take-off. - Flight time, radio and model battery, mAh drawn, a full ELRS panel and the
clock. - An automatic post-flight debrief — on landing the cards switch to that
flight's MAX distance, altitude and speed. - It never shows a number it cannot know — white is live, gray is last-known
with the link down,--means never known. Unplug a battery mid-flight and the
screen freezes rather than blanks. - No per-model configuration and nothing to press. It finds its own sensors
and reads the arm state from the model.
Requirements
- EdgeTX 2.8 or newer, on a color radio with an 800×480, 480×272 or
480×320 screen - CRSF / ELRS telemetry — Betaflight and iNAV are both detected
automatically, with nothing to configure - A GPS-equipped model for the GPS features
800×480 (TX16S MK3) and 480×272 (TX16S MK1/MK2, X10, X12S, T16, T18 and others)
are calibrated against real hardware. 480×320 (PL18, ST16, T15, T22, TX15) has its
own layout but has never been run on a radio — a report either way is welcome.
Install
Copy the GPSQR folder to your SD card so the path is SD:/WIDGETS/GPSQR/main.lua,
add a screen with a full-screen layout and the top bar, flight mode, sliders and
trims all off, then set the widget to GPSQR. Full steps in the README.
