Veqtor v0.3.0 is a community-supported technical Alpha focused on verifiable
local contract-review workflows and easier activation in Claude Desktop for
macOS.

Highlights:

  • the eight-tool MCP surface adds bounded inspect_document views over a
    mechanical accepted/current main-body projection and seed-centred
    map_rounds evidence maps;
  • Round Map reports complete exact paragraph equality, explicit
    unresolved/ambiguous states and recorded document-byte derivations without
    claiming chronology, paragraph lineage, legal effect or authorship;
  • decision-record locking, full-frame writes and rollback are hardened for
    bounded cross-thread/process contention, partial writes, storage failure and
    workspace-path replacement;
  • a versioned macOS Claude Desktop Extension (.mcpb) with explicit
    tracked-change-author configuration, all eight tools, a deterministic
    four-round demo and a ready-to-run inspection/map prompt;
  • the proof-bound preflight/apply flow detects changes to the source, edit
    request, author or predicted output between the two calls;
  • reproducible wheel, source archive and MCPB builds. SHA256SUMS.txt binds all
    three release payloads; the checksum is an integrity check, not a digital
    signature.

The first extension activation may download a compatible Python runtime and
the dependencies pinned in uv.lock through Claude Desktop's UV runtime. The
extension is a macOS activation path; version-pinned uvx and uv tool install remain available for supported command-line installations.

To install in Claude Desktop, download and open
veqtor-mcp-0.3.0-macos.mcpb, approve the extension, and enter the name that
Word should show as the author of new tracked changes. Then run the bundled
try_veqtor_demo prompt.

For an optional advanced integrity check, compare the output of
shasum -a 256 veqtor-mcp-0.3.0-macos.mcpb with its entry in
SHA256SUMS.txt. The MCPB is not digitally signed. Because this is the first
public MCPB, there is no older extension to roll back to; this release tests
clean install, uninstall, post-uninstall tool absence and same-artifact
reinstall. Real upgrade and rollback become release gates for the next MCPB.

Veqtor remains a local technical Alpha. It is not legal advice, a hosted
service, a full Word editor, a chronology/lineage proof system or a
tamper-evident audit log. Review the
known limitations
before using it on a real matter.
