C#/.NET Windows launcher

Version 1.1.0 replaces the Python/PyInstaller launcher with a C# Windows Forms application. The 15 bundled Lua scripts are unchanged from 1.0.0.

Download

Download AC8-Mod-Control-Native-1.1.0.zip below. Extract the entire ZIP and keep all files together. Run AC8 Mod Control.exe from the extracted folder. The EXE alone will not work. The .NET runtime is included; no Python or separate .NET installation is needed.

The source ZIP is for review/building, not the ready-to-run application.

Features retained

  • Cumulative mission selection, with Unlock ALL Missions first.
  • Aircraft, skin and special weapon unlocks; FOV overlay.
  • Manual and automatic verified current-save backups.
  • DLSS configuration enable/restore, including compatibility with the original launcher’s restore record.
  • Optional No EAC launch for offline/single-player use.

Requires a separately installed compatible UE4SS runtime, the game, and a campaign save. Use Back Up Current Save before applying changes; Apply Selected Mods also creates a backup. Open Backups opens %LOCALAPPDATA%\AC8 Mod Launcher\Backups. Use offline/single-player only.

Testing and security status

The author confirmed successful in-game testing on October 1, 2026. Thirty isolated checks passed, the packaged EXE initialized successfully, and the UI was inspected. A local Microsoft Defender scan of the published folder reported no threats.

VirusTotal results and Nexus clearance for this build remain pending. The rewrite and local scan do not prove that all antivirus concerns are resolved. Previous 1.0.0 scan reports apply to different files. The original binary download remains withdrawn. Do not disable antivirus protection to run the launcher.
