JavaNest CodeEditor - v0.2a Release Notes

We are thrilled to announce the v0.2a release of JavaNest CodeEditor, now upgraded with new features and improvements, including the addition of a standalone .exe file, allowing you to use the editor without needing a JDK installed!

Key Features in v0.2a:

  • Basic Text Editing: Easily open, edit, and save text files, preserving file metadata such as version info and modification timestamps.
  • Font Size Adjustment: Control text size with simple options to increase or decrease font size for optimal readability.
  • Line Numbering Support: Added line numbering for better navigation and code management.
  • Customizable Themes: Choose your preferred look and feel with basic theme options, enhancing your editing environment.
  • Standalone Executable: Now packaged as a .exe file, JavaNest can be run directly without any JDK requirements, providing a seamless experience for all users.

This is still an alpha version, and there’s much more on the horizon! Upcoming updates will focus on further enhancements like syntax highlighting, auto-completion, and real-time syntax checking to make your coding experience even more robust.

JavaNest CodeEditor - v0.1a Release Notes

We're excited to announce the first alpha release of JavaNest CodeEditor (v0.1a), a minimalistic code editing environment built using Java. This release is packaged as a JAR file, making it easy to run on any machine with Java installed.

Key Features in v0.1a:

  • Basic Text Editing: Open, edit, and save text-based files.
  • Font Size Adjustment: Easily adjust the font size for better readability.
  • File Metadata: Custom metadata is automatically added when saving files, including version info and the last modified timestamp.
