First-search setup and additional folders

  • The first discover call prepares a catalog from the active host/profile and task context. No readiness or indexing call is required first.
  • --extra-source and extra_source_paths add folders alongside native discovery. Explicit-source and read-only connections stay separate.
  • Capalith provides navigation, not a mandatory search workflow or a second skill loader. No host plugin, core, dependency, or model changes.
  • Handler-level validation preserves conflicting-input checks in hosts that rewrite JSON Schema not clauses.

Verification

65 source tests passed with warnings treated as errors. The release commit CI passed. All 12 package source and guidance files in the wheel and source archive match the release tree.

A real Hermes pilot of the implementation used one discovery call, resolved a declared companion, and used native skill loading. An independent frozen-candidate review found no blockers. This does not establish natural unprompted adoption or general ranking improvements.

Check downloaded assets against SHA256SUMS. verification.json binds the artifacts to source and CI evidence.
