Guide IPTV and radio
Settings › Content › IPTV › Add playlist, or a configuration file. A playlist is named
after its file (…/sports.m3u8: sports) or its own name. An Xtream account (Add Xtream
account): its server, username and password; its
channels are a playlist (Xtream · server), with its TV guide. A Stalker portal (Add Stalker
portal): its address (http://portal.example.com/c/) and the MAC address your provider
registered; its channels are a playlist (Stalker · portal), a row
per genre. Its own TV guide isn't read: set one with Guide link. Each shows its
counts, last download and any error (a failed refresh keeps the saved copy).
- ▲ / ▼ set the order: a channel in two playlists comes from the first, and rows follow the order.
- OK on one: Rename, Turn off / Turn on (off: its channels hidden, its copy kept), Edit link, Guide link, Reload, Remove.
- A big Stalker portal: Channel groups (OK on it) reads only the genres you tick.
- Auto-refresh (Off by default): every hour, 3, 6 or 12 hours, all playlists and their TV guides are downloaded again, as Reload does, so a channel whose guide came late is back on the Guide tab. Never while something plays.
An Xtream account's films and series come with its channels, as do a Stalker portal's (experimental):
- Browse: a row per account or portal in Movies and Series, newest first (a show is one tile, its episodes on its page); Discover lists them by the provider's categories, and Search looks through them. The IPTV tab keeps the live channels only.
- On your own titles: a film or episode you open from your addons lists the provider's copy among its sources (Xtream, Stalker). Order it, or turn it off, in Source ranking's addons list.
- Xtream, the first time: the account's list is read (a minute or two for a big one, then once a day): until then its row, Search and copies stay empty. Reload on the account (Settings › Content › IPTV) reads its films and series again at once.
- Stalker: titles are read as you browse; a copy is found by searching the portal by name. A portal without a series section may list its shows among the films.
- A copy plays only if the TV plays its file: MKV with DTS sound often doesn't.
- A provider listing no films or series adds nothing; its entries play as it marks them (live: no seeking).
- ★ Favorites: hold OK on a channel card, then Add to favorites. They're a row of their own, first on the IPTV tab (all of them, up to 300) and on the Guide tab.
- IPTV and Radio rows, a row per group; a channel's details name its playlist.
-
Films in a playlist: a file's link (
.mkv,.mp4…, an Xtream/movie/or/series/one), or a DASH or HLS film, can be scrubbed through; Continue Watching doesn't keep it. -
Sports: channels marked
tvg-type="sport"(or"sports", StremioK's own mark) go to the Sports tab. -
Guide only: channels marked
tvg-type="guide"show on the Guide tab alone; OK on a program finds that film in your addons (else Search). - CH+ / CH− switch through the row a channel came from; the one you stop on starts after a short pause; BACK lands on its card.
- A channel's number: type its position in that row (7, or 1 then 2 for 12).
- Live streams show ● LIVE: no seeking or resume.
- DRM channels: Widevine and PlayReady play if the playlist's license server licenses the TV; ClearKey with its keys or key server, through Shaka Player (only what you're entitled to).
-
YouTube live channels (
youtube.com,youtu.belinks) play too, as does an Xtream channel leading there. - Choppy sound on some channels is fixed on its own: the channel restarts ("Fixing this channel's sound…").
- Closed captions in a channel's picture (CC1–CC4): Green lists Closed captions (CC1); picking one restarts the channel with them. Ones in your default subtitle language turn on by themselves. HLS only: on Xtream, switch Format to HLS.
-
Where it comes from: the guide link a playlist names (
url-tvg), or an Xtream playlist's (get.php) own guide. Guide link (OK on a playlist) sets another, or puts back the automatic one. It's read again every 6 hours, or at once with the playlist's Reload (its limits: TV guide). - A channel is matched by its
tvg-id, else by its name. One without a logo in its playlist gets the guide's. - Channel cards show what's on now and how far along it is; Home's details strip adds its description and what's next.
- While a channel plays, the bar at the bottom shows Now and Next.
- Hold OK on a channel card for its schedule, from 2 hours ago to tomorrow: ▶ Watch now plays it, ★ Add to / Remove from favorites, and OK on a program shows its description.
- A guide's program pictures show in the details strip (a channel's card, the Guide tab).
- The Guide tab (once a guide is read): your channels with a guide, a row each, across 2½ hours from the current half hour, with a line at the time now. ← / → go from program to program (the hours move past the edge), ↑ / ↓ to the channel above or below at the same time. The details strip describes the focused program; OK on what's on now (or a row still Loading…) plays the channel (CH+ / CH− then go through the Guide's channels), on a later one shows its description. BACK, or a channel that stops, lands on the channel you ended on.
- Hold OK on a program in the Guide tab: ▶ Watch now (what's on now), ★ Add to / Remove from favorites (its channel), and Find in your addons: a film opens its page with your sources, anything else Search.
